So says 670 The Score. Things can change very quickly in a season...

After posting a 7-1 record and an amazing 2.00 ERA in 68 games last year, allowing just 42 hits in 67 1/3 innings, Politte's fall began in Spring Training. He's hoping to straighten things out with a look to 2007, although he's saddened it won't be with the White Sox.

Edit: Now it's on the Sox website.

Williams may have gotten butt lucky in a lot of ways last year, but you have to hand it to him here. Hendry would've already signed his three-year extension after last year's completely flukish performance.

He still might sign him to a 3 year deal. He just needs a change of scenary.

He still may!

"Hey Dusty, Dude! You remember that Cliff dude from the White Sox? They F'd up and DFA'd him! He's a lifesaver man!"

i've liked what he's done this year. only thing he should have done was trade one of garcia/garland/contreras to make room for mccarthy, but every other move was decent.

My question is...what took so long?

But like some of you guys have mentioned, this is a situation where Hendry would just sit on his rear end and not do anything to a struggling pitcher who is obviously past his prime (Rusch).

Darn...another missed opportunity. We could have lined up Rusch and Neifi behind Politte and saved two bullets.

This is an example of why it is stupid to build a bullpen through free agency. Of course it's working well for us so far(sorta) but I bet at some point during Eyre's and Howry's contracts they will revert back to career numbers a bit.

howry is pitching close to his career stats so far this year and eyre has been a totally different pitcher since he went on the meds.

What's was this about a great bullpen and Politte being a stud that White Sox fans shoved down our throats??

It didn't work out. That's why they picked up David Riske.
