all you people complaining about throwing stuff on the field, STFU, its the only way they will get it through their heads that the fans hate this. if they dont show up, guess what, different people show up. at least they get to see first hand the displeasure the fans have just like the fans get to see the [expletive] that is this team, except for Z

Let me know when your 5th grade class starts in the fall.

Let's all remember to attack the post not the poster.

Oldstyle, your post showed the maturity of a 5th grader.

Better?

is it wrong yes but i have no problem with it since this team and its managment has continually bent the fans over and gave them a nice big one in the wrong place. they keep screwing us over, its time that fans show their displeasure, i dont care if no one likes my opinon.

I can't wait to hear Baker's post-game remarks:

"Well, we came close today but a couple of mistakes by the youngsters really cost us today....I know I can win and I'm not going anywhere; we'll go get 'em tomorrow"

Do you honestly think that Hendry/Baker/Management didn't know the fans were upset with this team, until they decided to throw garbage on the field? Honestly, use a little logic.

It's not like they don't know the fans are upset. It's not like they aren't just as upset themselves. It's not like they don't care about winning.

Throwing garbage on the field or selling tickets to Sox fans isn't going to make management any smarter.

Management? Problably knew.

Hendry? Maybe knew.

Baker? Definately didn't know and probably still doesn't know.

How does that make management look like crap on a national broadcast? It just makes the fans in the bleachers look like total idiots.

It's not like no one knew we were having an awful season before garbage was thrown on the field.

It's not a national broadcast. It's a regional broadcast. More people would have seen it had it been on WGN.

Dusty is such a moron..hes on the postgame now..showing no emotion.. just saying " we gotta get that final out and keep rollin"

I'm hoping he snaps one of these days and just starts cussing, calling everyone out, and screaming at a press conference.

IMO, they are making Cubs fans looked pissed about the product. I have no problem with the fans in stadium throwing trash on the field. They are "other" ideas for showing their displeasure, but this trash-throwing is prolly the safer, and most non-violent idea. This was coming to a head, and sooner or later, the fans were going to let the management know of their feelings. Again, I have no problem, in fact.. about the throwing trash on the field, cause the whole team DESERVE to be trashed.

I think filling up the park day after day to watch this wretched product makes Cub fans look more like crap than littering the field with refuse.

Is it classless? Sure. Lots of things are classless. Booing is classless. Lot's of stuff written on these game threads (mea culpa) are classless. I'm not defending it, but forgive me if I can't muster up much outrage over fans showing their frustration while this franchise continues to languish with an idiot manager, an inept front office, and ownership that could care less.

bwhahaha posts here complaining about fans dropping a few cups on the warning track. On a more serious note, are the Kansas City Royals really now just 1.5 games behind the $95 million payroll Chicago Cubs?

Rooting for an ARAM single for the cycle. It';s gotten that bad.

Why is that bad? I'd like to see him hit for the cycle too.

Because I should have been rooting for a homerun and the lead.

It'll be less disappointing when the Sox beat us in the 9th by breaking the tie, rather than beat us in the 9th while down a run.

I'm still pissed off that the Sox didn't score last inning.

I must be freaking clairvoyant or something

jesus christ how did i see this happening?

Worst part: Vazquez didn't get a victory.

I'm so pissed right now. Its the exact worst scenario for me. I hate you baseball gods.

Statement schmatement, I'm sick of people trashing Cubs fans, effectively, for not being fair weather fans.

Best comment of the day: Piniella talking about the wind blowing out after a Ramirez homer that would have gotten through a damn tornado.

This year sucks. 63 days till Sept. 2nd and college football.
