Now that the draft is over, what do you guys think the Bulls should do? They obviously need to address the PF/C positions. Who should be available as a FA? How about Ben Wallace? He would fit in well on a defensive-minded Bulls team. I know KG has been talked about in other threads. I'm undecided on it. It would likely cost at least Deng/Gordon, Thomas, and Chandler. Maybe both Deng and Gordon. Not sure if I want to give up that much young talent for one player. So what do you think Pax will do or what do you want to see him do?

Meh on Ben Wallace.

I'd like to see an Al Harrington, or maybe a combo of Pryzbilla and that other guy who's name I'm forgetting but he's a center and a FA and I think he was from Kentucky.

Nazr Mohammed? I'd like either him or Pryzbilla. Al Harrington wouldn't be a bad option either.

Yeah, I think we need a little more offense than Ben Wallace and we already have plenty of defense. I like Harrington a lot and Pryzbilla I haven't seen play much.

There's a poll on NBA.com asking who had the best draft. Bulls lead at 35%, with Portland second at 27%.

I like Harrington and Wallace. I don't understand why people don't like Big Ben though. I like that the Bulls are a defensive oriented team, and he would fit in. He's better than Chandler IMO, so we could either keep the two of them or trade Chandler and have an improved team.

The reason Wallace wants to leave Detroit is that he wants an offense to run through him. Would you want to run your offense through Ben Wallace?

The problems are going to be age and the money he's looking for. He's going to be 32 this coming season, so it's going to be harder for him to do as well in future years as he did during his prime. I like him a lot as a defensive threat, but breaking the bank on him would not be a good idea, imo.

I'd rather see this team explore relatively cheaper options, lock up some guys with extensions, and wait until next offseason to go on a spending spree. There are going to be some really good FAs and RFAs next season who could have a much better impact on this team than Wallace.

Nope. No good team would. If he wants that, he should go to the Hawks. If he wants to win, he'll find out quick that he's asking too much, and he'll can that idea.

What kind of guys are gonna be out there for the post next year?

This guy? Seriously?

2.6 BPG and 7 RPG in 24.9 MGP is solid. I wouldn't want him and Tyson on the floor at the same time much, though.

Unless they trade for an expiring contract or two, it'll be difficult for the Bulls to save FA dollars for next season.

I think the Bulls put themselves in a good position last evening if they DID want to make a trade for a guy like Garnett. They drafted a player the Wolves would have interest in. They drafted a backup at both the 2 and the 3, possibly making Deng or Nocioni expendable.

I think Chandler, Deng, and Thomas could get it done, and their depth would still be pretty decent with Duhon, Thabo, Songaila, Khryapa, and Sweets being the decent players off the bench.

Not sure who's gonna play center, though.

I don't think Garnett is better than those 3 combined will be over the next few years.

I don't get why there's a rush to ditch an effective rebuilding plan just to get a "name" player.

Get Nazr Mohammed or avoid everyone. I want no part of another white stiff at C and a better version of Tyson.

While Pryzbilla and Mohammed are going to be cheaper than Wallace, they're not going to be cheap. With Tyson Chandler and Samuel Dalembert getting $10M+/year, GMs should expect similar prices for Pryzbilla and Mohammed.

Does anyone know how far under the cap the Bulls are right now? They're going to need some money if they look to keep Hinrich, Gordon, and Nocioni past their rookie contracts.

I don't want to give up 3 players with that much upside for Garnett. And KG is my favorite player.

I have to think that a trade is in the works for Deng. Noicioni had a big year last year, and Thomas and Thabo can both backup the 3.

Luol Deng for Robert Swift and a future (07?) first rounder?

If the Nuggets fail to move Martin, the Bulls could make a run at Nene, a restricted free agent.

This, I would be in favor of. He'll probably get similar money to Pryz and Nazr because of injury concerns, but the upside is pretty darn high given that he'll only be 24 by the start of next season. He'd be a great CENTER (legit size too) to add to the winged nucleus.

I think the only way they would do the deal is if they legitimately thought it gave them a shot at contention. They did almost beat the champs this year, Miami's underperformance not withstanding.

I honestly don't think they'll trade Thomas under any circumstances. I think they acquired him to be the guy who defends LeBron for the next 15 years.

Can thomas go out and effectively defend a "small", or are you talking about the Swiss guy (who is allegedly a good perimter defender)?
