Sorry. I didn't see this being discussed in the Cards Pitching thread. Mods, feel free to lock this if you think it needs to be locked.

Can't wait to hear Ozzie's response to that.

Larussa has more excuses than Dusty does. No way he could man up to the fact that they got whipped this past week by the White Sox. Had to chalk up the embarrassment to something.

It may just be my anti-Sox bias kicking in here, but the stats presented in the article sure do seem to give this more credibility than Buehrle's constant accusations.

I guess the Tigers are cheating too. They've already scored 7 runs in 5 innings against Carpenter tonight.

LOL that's rich. I especially loved this quote:

"Let's put it this way," one Cardinals source said Thursday night. "They looked like they knew what was coming the first two nights. They looked like they had no idea tonight.

"You figure it out."

Nice slap in the face for the rookie:

"No, kid, your stuff wasn't all that good. They stopped stealing our signs, THAT's the only reason you almost completely shut em down."

The numbers are skewed because Reyes was absolutely dominant yesterday. Aside from that it's just a couple of relief innings since they changed signs.

Ahahaha, classiest organization my ***. What a bunch of sore losers. I guess the Tigers were stealing signs today since they absolutely destroyed Carpenter as well, right? Give me a break.

Maybe the Cobs should try cheating.

Eh, we might have. Remember when Novoa had that RBI double against the Cards a few weekends ago? Only explanation for that would be stealing signs dude.

This is a comical thread. LaRussa is a joke.

Please.

No way would the CWS been able to hit Mulder's 87 MPH fastballs w\o cheating.

You owe TLR an apology.

At least you think that the stealing signs thing is a joke as well.

Mulder MRI shows problem

AP

June 23, 2006 10:39 pm -- Lefthander Mark Mulder will be shelved at least through the All-Star break and probably longer after an MRI on Friday found that he has been pitching with a shoulder impingement, inflammation of the rotator cuff and slight fraying of the labrum.

Placed on the disabled list Thursday, Mulder returned to St. Louis on Friday morning and was examined by team medical supervisor Dr. George Paletta.

That prognosis doesn't look good.

This is wonderful news.

I can finally bench the bastard.
