New NBA Playoffs Thread

We're going to see how much the players really like Flip Saunders now.

 

He got completely outcoached by both Mike Brown and Pat Riley. I can't imagine the players are particularly thrilled with him right now.

Please forgive the lateness of this reply but, what happened to the Pistons? Where's that team I saw in Dec, Jan and Feb that had people talking of them in same breath as the 95-96 Bulls (72-10 Regular Season, 15-2 Playoffs)? As a Bulls fan I'm of course, happy to see the Pistons go down but, nevertheless surprised. Turns out, these Piston weren't even close to those 95-96 Bulls...

I know the Bulls had other players, but Jordan's competativeness could be unparalled. I know professional athletes are competative, but Jordan was beyond that IMO.

All you hafta do to stop the Heat is let Wade go, he's gonna score, stop Shaq, and hope Antoine Walker makes his first three attempt of the night. If he makes the first one, he'll shoot all night, if he misses his first 3 or 4, he'll start passing them up.

I agree. The Bulls are one more solid bench player and a competent big man (Roy and Przybilla?) away from being one of the best in the East.

Unreal. Dirk misses a clutch free throw, and Avery draws up the worst play ever. You don't give yourself a complete chance to win with an oop, especially when Wade is on the guy you are throwing it to. Dirk shouldn't be throwing it in, Stackhouse should be. He should be looking for Dirk or Terry, with Howard as the other option. Stupid play Avery, very stupid.

The main reason that play was bad was because Wade was the defender. Howard would outjump anyone else. It still wouldn't have been a great play because you still need a virtually perfect pass. Dirk definately should not have been inbounding.

 

Miami still has to win all three at home to have a chance because there is no way they win 2 in Dallas. I could see them pulling one out, but no way do that win games 6 and 7 in Dallas.
