Pujols gave the stink eye to Dempster after an up an in pitch in the 9th.

Today's game should be interesting with Z on the mound.

They really should fix the showers though.

As an aside, why wasn't this in Bruce's Miles column? Oh yea, that's right, Bruce writes about the game and leaves the soap opera stuff alone. I didn't even need to look at the byline to know who wrote the article.

I don't hear any other Cardinal players complaining about the hot water. Jim's just never been as happy of a person since Edgar & Placido have left the team. Wasn't the shower their favorite meeting place?

Maybe Jim Edmonds should take a step back and think about all the great baseball players who have used that very same shower.

The Edmonds obsession continues with Cubs fans. It is so touching.

Eh, if he didn't want us to make fun of him, he should shut his mouth about one of the only real baseball stadiums left. Oh, and maybe stop slowing down on fly balls just so he can make the highlight reel.

There's a thin line between love and hate people. I'm thinking half the people on this board find themselves oddly drawn to Jimmy, and that causes them a whole range of conflicted emotions.

If you can't get your business done in 5 minutes, you probably have more problems than the hot water in the showers.

It takes time to remove the eyeliner. You're so insensitive.

Not to mention the hot water feels good on the bruises from Flash needlessly diving for balls. Gosh, this board is harsh! :P

Edmonds is one of those rare players who truly deserves the hatred of an entire city.

What is pathetic is that Larussa, within earshot of the locker room attendants, suggested to the players that they not tip any of them. He said he wouldn't. A real class act there

It was when it happened. Check out the post dispatch article about the incident. Has direct quotes from him telling the players he wouldn't tip them

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch[/url]"]Friday was the Cubs' home opener and apparently the day sneaked up on the franchise and its aged park.

Most Cardinals players - and one very perturbed manager - were jolted by a sudden loss of hot water during post-game showers. Center fielder Jim Edmonds described it as "the complete Single-A experience" after La Russa emerged from his office to vent his displeasure. Some players waited until after returning to the team hotel to shower. Others gritted their teeth and dove in for a chilling experience.

"I wouldn't tip these guys. I wouldn't tip 'em," La Russa advised his players within earshot of visiting clubhouse personnel.

This is like when Haden Fry painted the visting locker room pink at Kinnick Stadium.

Get into their heads Dusty, get into their heads.

I love it!

Angrily announcing that you won't be tipping the clubhouse people is one sure way to ensure excellent service for the remainder of your stay. :P

Wrigley's opposing clubhouse has gotten bad reviews from more than Jim Edmonds.

He's not complaining about the clubhouse. Dude is whining about hot water. Be a man, Jim. Go back to your fancy hotel and take a shower if it's that freaking important.

Cardinals players should hate Wrigley.

I'd be more upset if Edmonds said "oh hell yea this is our home away from home."

 Exactly!! Wrigley must become a house of pain (figuratively speaking) for opposing teams, especially NL Central.

In the Blackhawks' heyday (approx '83 - '94) they would put a highly competitive, bruising but talented team on the ice, year in and year out. Other teams would openly dread coming to the old Stadium, which as a Blackhawks fan was music to my ears.

But that's out of his way, Boystown is much closer to Wrigley than a downtown hotel.
