Z opposes Chris Carpenter in what should be a great matchup. Obviously, in the end, the power of Z will be too much and The Cardinals will be praying for the big giant lard on Sunday to save them from being swept!

I'll miss the end of this one as I'll be visiting family. :(

Hopefully the Cubs have it nailed down by 4:00 ET.

All the proper authorities are mandated to give me constant updates of the game. (If the Cubs do win, I'm not sure if I can be home in time to put up a new game thread), any volunteers if I'm not home prior to 10:30?

Why not do it on Sunday?

I'd love to start the thread for Fatty's first start as a Card vs the Cubs.

7. If the next day's game thread isn't up by 9pm CT the night before a game and the Cubs are not playing a night game at the time, someone can start the game thread on a spot-start basis.

I definitely won't be home in time, lousy work til 10... I trust you'd all be in good hands with Vance.

I am actually excited. I have to work 1-9 Tomorrow, but its in the dairy dept. So that means i have my big winter coat on whenever i'm back in the cooler. My radio will be playing. and i will be getting updates, and i will laugh every time Z gets a hit of carp.

Winds should be blowing in from left-center at about 15 mph. Game-time temps of 42°F (should feel like 36°F). Great baseball weather! :)

Perfect for another DLee BOMB

I think it should be changed to 12 hrs. before game time or something. Just my thoughts.

good news about the weather. Hopefully Z can use it to his advantage. I would feel real good if he could pitch as good as Maddux did today.

Actually for those with Dish Network (and some digi cable I'm sure) have the Extra Innings package for free for the 1st week. The Cubs/Cards game will be on here (west coast) on the Dish and I have the DVR set!

You will see it, although I am not sure what announcers you will get. My schedule has it listed on channel 887.
