I prefer the game chats because it's everything is saved for posterity. I knew Jones was not good after he survived 52 rounds of my fantasy draft. I hope he is like Derrek Lee or Aramis pre-2003: Horrific April and early May that masks an above average rest of the season.

Ya know, watching Lee steal made me wonder about JJ's true level of speed. Ron Gardenhire never liked sending people unless he really had to. So then I got to thinking what Jones might be capable of stealing with Dusty trying to run this team to the postseason.

 

I came up with an estimated zero steals.

Who would take him? It would be another Hundley trade, although we wouldn't get anything close to Karros or Grudz in return.

If Hendry somehow found a taker for Jones, he'd almost definitely have to eat most of the contract. Or take on a bad contract. Nobody should want Jones for 3-years. Not sure why Hendry did.
