shoot, I couldn't even name you 3 players on PSU. If DePaul is bad (and they are) I usually don't start watching college bball until conference tourney time.

i thought some people were down on morrison's ability to transition to the NBA

And I'm one of them. Aldridge please.

What if we got the #1 and #2 picks this year? That would be...interesting.

Bad draft for it. Deep in terms of talent, but thin towards the top.

Morrison's a 3. The Bulls don't need a 3. They need a legit 4, would say 5, but there are no legit centers alive.

Chad Ford has this to say on his blog today:

With LaMarcus Aldridge up and down at the moment (though that's in part the fault of his teammates) and the ongoing questions about how Adam Morrison's game translates at the next level, it could be a three-man race [for who goes number 1] come draft day with teams such as the Bobcats and Celtics preferring Gay, the Hawks, Bulls and Rockets preferring Aldridge and the Blazers, Raptors and Sonics showing a soft spot for Morrison.

I know the Bulls need a guard like the Cubs need another middle IF, but I'd like Redick on this team. He and Gordon would make a sick, sick shooting backcourt.

I'd trade Duhon, Noc and one of the 1st round picks to Atlanta for Al Harrington, too, so I am pretty stupid, so who knows.

I don't think Reddick's game will translate well to the NBA. I'd prefer a 4 and a 2 who can create for himself and get to the rack.

Many share your opinion, but scouts had similar things to say about Michael Redd, who fell to the second round. We all know how wrong the scouts were in Redd's case.

Except the fact that he is the worst defender in the league at his position.

Name me a better player taken in the 2000 draft.

I think Redick will be a decent NBA player. He has more talent than people give him credit for. He can create his own shot now. He can defend a little now. In fact, he reminds me a lot of Ben Gordon.

MARCUS FIZER!

Seriously though, you are right. A healthy Kenyon Martin is the only other good player in that entire first round (Edit - entire draft). I wasn't speaking of that draft class. I was speaking in terms of the current NBA landscape.

I'm addicted to the Lottery Simulator on ESPN.com. They have the Bulls with Aldridge as their #1 choice, and their 1st pick anytime they are in the top 3 (With the Knicks pick). With our pick we almost always finish 10th or 11th and take a European player, seems like a project guy, but he's 7'0. It's all a guessing game now, but it's still fun to think ahead.

In the holy grail of drafts, the Bulls take Aldridge with the first overall pick and Barganai with the second overall pick -- at least according to Ford.

Barganai looking more and more like the real deal.

I wouldn't mind Bargnani, seems much more developed than a lot of the Euro "projects" that ultimately fail. The upside is tremendously high and the ability to contribute in a shorter manner is appealing.

Agreed. He's 7 feet tall, 20 years old, and producing very good numbers on one of the best teams in the Euroleague, a higher level of play than the NCAA.
