Gonzaga won at Maryland, at MSU, lost by 2 to UConn, and lost by 4 at Washington. Their only other loss was to Memphis. I'd hardly call them "vastly overrated".

 

All early in the season, though. Teams are much different by this point in the year. I think Gonzaga goes out early.

Gonzaga might have been better off dropping one of those close games along the way. The close vistories over bad teams do not excite me about their chances to go far. Until Few decides to put an emphasis on Defense they are never going to do too much.

To clarify, Gonzaga didn't travel to MSU or Maryland, they were the road team in Maui for those games, the UConn one was in Maui too.

 

I think that shows what Gonzaga is capable of, but I don't know if they can ratchet it up to that level again after so long without seeing that competition.

Maryland and MSU were not on the road, they were at the Maui invite.

Gumbel just stated that authorities evacuated San Diego's arena while they investigate a suspicious package, which may impact tip time for Marquette and Alabama, scheduled for 2:40 ET.
