The Cubs sold over 600,000 tickets on Friday, breaking their own major league record. Of course, with a seating capacity over 1,600 higher than last year, not breaking it would have been a disappointment.

Registration for the dugout, bullpen, and bleacher boxes is March 9th and they go on sale March 13th.

Hey guys......I landed some pretty good seats to some pretty quality games. Got some vs. Cards and then some vs. Sox.

I picked up a couple of extra tickets to the Sox game and might be willing to part with them in a couple of weeks depending on what a few people say as to whether or not they wanna go. I'm sure I could make some money selling them on Stub Hub or something, but I'd be satisfied just hooking somebody here up. If I do let them go they are upper deck box and I would be parting with 2 tickets. Cost will be 45 per ticket (actual cost is $40, but there were processing fees and taxes and all that other mess. I'll come back and let you guys know if I am gonna get rid of them. Hope everyone had good luck and is happy with the seats the eventually got.

I'm a new poster here but have lurked for awhile. If any of you guys are looking for a night or weekend game, I have that package and sell some of that games every year, so just email me what games you are interested and we'll talk. I use ebay to sell games usually and I have an 80+ 100% feedback.

Tribune[/url]"]The Cubs announced Monday that 597,571 tickets were sold on Friday—establishing a Major League Baseball record for tickets sold in a single day.

"We are quite pleased with the results," said Frank Maloney, director of ticket operations in statement. "The Tickets.Com and Major League Baseball Advanced Media systems handled the extraordinary demand very well."

"We have over 300,000 tickets still available for individual games this season," Maloney said.

Seating capacity at Wrigley Field capacity is 41,118, having increased from last year's 39,538 following the bleacher expansion.

Looks like Maloney will have a little more work this season with 300,000 tickets still on the table. Despite that, another 3 million draw should be easy.

Wow. 2/3 of Single games tickets gone on the first day of ticket sales.

That's impressive.

I still have two bleacher seats available for 6/26 against the Brewers. Let me know if you may be interested.

I was actually hoping to get tickets to that game.

If they're still available, PM me with details.

I'll promise never to bring up the A.D. words.

I have a guy offering me 100 bucks for my (2) tickets to the Cubs - Cards game on 4/7 (Cubs home opener). The seats are row 2 in section 533. With transaction fees and all that, I paid 48 bucks and some change. Is this a fair deal or could I get much more than that if I really wanted to sell them (which I don't)?

I'd take it, only b/c its likely to be freezing that day, and accordingly I don't see them getting more valuable as the date nears. I could be wrong.

Yeah. Opening Day = Overrated in Chicago because it's still cold as balls out.

Picked up my tickets from will call today. The tickets look pretty slick. They have Wrigley printed on the background instead of just a Cubs logo.

Aside from it being windy as heck, I got a chance to look at the bleachers. It'll be a little weird for the bleachers to extend out a good 15 feet over the sidewalk, but it's not going to look bad. Hopefully they don't leave it red, though. It was hard to tell about the bleachers from the inside (by looking from the el platform). I guess I'll have to wait until there are actually people in those seats.

Plus, looking at the marquee for the first time in a new year is always awesome.

I know. It's such a cool feeling. Last year I rode or drove by Wrigley about 10-15 times during the winter, but none at all this year. I don't think I had been down there since the trade deadline.

I also picked up a new Z jersey t-shirt and saw a guy pull out a 25-year-old gigantic video cassette recorder on the el, which made the trip even better.

Anyone else having trouble printing their tickets?

I clicked the link and it said "We're sorry, you don't have any print@home tickets." It says that for every set of tickets that I ordered.

Your printer is broken but the Cubs won't let you know for 3 weeks.

I think maybe we need the printer to have a few more simulated prints before we can make a decision on whether it will print properly or not.

Good idea. But it's NOT an injury. It's just a program designed to built up toner strength. We still expect the printer to make its first scheduled printing in three weeks.

We can't risk another printer injury. I say we just send it under the screwdriver now, and hope that it recovers quickly.
