dangit, I was going to put Veal in the bottom of my list but I forgot. It seems that BA really has a thing for recent high round draftees and with the numbers he put up I think it would be no surpise to see him between 8-10

Yep. BA has a thing for ceilings when it comes to prospects. When you have a guy who gets compared to Vida Blue and puts up good numbers in his short season debut, it's likely he'll get ranked in the Top 10.

Veal crossed my mind, too. I'm not sure how far the other high-ceiling-guys-with-a-lousy-or-shortened-year drop for BA.

I'm bored, too, and yeah, a lot of these are the same as O_O's.

BEST TOOLS

Best Hitter for Average Eric Patterson

Best Power Hitter Ryan Harvey

Best Strike-Zone Discipline I also go with Brandon Sing, but Sam Fuld fits in somewhere - not strike-zone per se, but low K - balanced BB approach

Fastest Baserunner Do Not Know

Best Athlete Felix Pie

Best Fastball Mark Pawelek

Best Curveball Rich Hill (an honorable mention to Gallagher)

Best Slider Renyel Pinto (I've heard Jesus Yepez has a good one, is that true?)

Best Changeup Do Not Know

Best Control Should be Matt Weber

Best Defensive Catcher Do Not Know (not Bernard)

Best Defensive Infielder Casey McGehee

Best Infield Arm Ronny Cedeno

Best Defensive Outfielder Felix Pie (honorable mentions to Fuld, Harvey) (and with his name, I have high hopes for Defendis)

Best Outfield Arm Ryan Harvey (I've heard great things about Pie; I've seen great throws from Harvey)

I was gonna put Veal 10th. He was ranked 2nd in the NWL in terms of best prospects.

Ooops.

Maybe the Cubs will trade the 7th rated Pinto instead of the 2nd rated one for Pierre.

Just a quick note -- I'm not sure what time they release the list. There will also be a chat (BA subscribers only) with Jim Callis about the prospect rankings; I *think* the chats have been starting at 2pm CT, but I couldn't confirm that after a quick search at the BA site.

I am probably not going to be online and able to score these until Monday night, so please be patient. If you want to score your own entries, feel free to do so. :)
