It may be time to reevaluate whether Oklahoma is very good. The Big 12 picture keeps looking worse.

OU is overrated again. Come tourney time, they'll be a pretty easy out like they usually are.

UK is about to lose at home vs. Vandy. Beyond this year, I'd give Tubby one more year to this around.

UK should have more talent and players like Crawford, Rondo, Bradley should progress more.

Marshall Brown misses the first, makes the second, third one coming up...

and misses!

Mizzou wins 71-69 on the road against #22 OU!

WOOT! Great effort to get a huge road win.

I just don't understand Mizzou. How can a team look so bad and then go into norman and win?

I didn't get to see their 3 cupcake games between Illinois and the conference opener, but they've turned it around for sure. They've played pretty good defense before and maintained that, better offensive flow, better effort, and someone in each game stepping up to help Gardner shoulder the load(McKinney against OSU, Brown against OU). Should be a fun environment to be in on Saturday, hopefully both teams take care of business so there can be some real fun on Monday.

wow, complicated name you chose.

It's awesome.

Sophomore Josh Shipp, UCLA's third best player won't play again this season because of problems related to his hip surgery over the summer (he only play 4 games because of that surgery). UCLA's already without all three of their seniors - Cs Ryan Hollins and Michael Fey and swingman Cedric Bozeman. Sounds like Arron Afflalo, who hurt his hip on in ASU should be ok to play on Thursday against Wazzu and Jordan Farmar will have to play the rest of the season with a sprained ankle.

Losing Bozeman and Shipp for the season is really going to hurt. :(

EDIT: Ooo, looks like C Lorenzo Mata broke his nose in ASU too.

KU with it's seventh straight W. This was they're first real road game against an experienced Colorado. I'm starting to think we could be a player in the mediocre Big 12.

Until you make your way into the ZOU. :-D

How does Colorado look? They come to Columbia Saturday, and I haven't seen them play at all this year.

I didn't see any of the game. Theyy only have three losses, but they haven't played anyone. Roby is a very good player, and they're experienced, but if you can beat OU in Norman, you should beat CU in CoMo.

And if I were a betting man, I'd predict a loss for KU at Mizzou, too. We haven't faced a true hostile environment yet, and Lord knows the Paige will be a madhouse.

I can't wait. I was surprised to see we had our best attendance by 4k for the OSU game while everyone is still on break, I'm pumped for the environment with the student body back and coming off these two wins.

Fun Fact: Aside from the Gymnastics team dropping a meet against highly ranked opponents, every Mizzou sport is undefeated since the bowl game.

Mizzou Arena, not Paige. ;-)

But I can't wait, it's gonna be a battle, that's for sure. I think I asked you this before but I don't remember, you making your way out to Columbia, snood?

When you name your arena after a snotty rich chick who cheated in college, that's the name you get forever.

And no, unfortunately I won't be heading out there. No ticket, no way to buy a ticket. I'll be planted in front of the TV watching, though.

We can reassign it, our students voted in the newspaper to make the new classroom building the Paige Laurie Morals & Ethics Center.

Not really, but I think in the poll it narrowly beat out some option involving the Hulk or something.

Hahahah. And I just realized the irony of the name up there, as I quickly skimmed over it before. Went way over my head, hahaha.

I think that's the inscription on the University of Missouri seal.

Well that was just a horrendous coaching job by Brey down the stretch.

My thoughts EXACTLY. Why is it that you tell your players to foul down 4 with 1:20 left, but when you're down 3 with 50 seconds left, you play for the defensive stop? It makes no sense whatsoever!!

That game unfolded like all the ND/Cuse games at the Joyce have the last four years: Irish make a bunch of stupid mistakes, but threes keep them in it till the end when Gerry Mac proves too much. I am NOT going to miss him.

My two college basketball teams' record since December 30th: 0-7. :(

Didn't S. Florida just join I-A football a few years back? I don't see FAU or FIU as having more promise than an Arkansas St. just because they're in Florida. I don't see Baylor as having a more promising future just because they're in Texas. It seems like a stretch to give the spot to a team that may have some more potential in football, and is a far worse basketball program.

Yeah but S.Florida has a decent hoops program too. That makes a big difference IMO.

ND recruited Mac hard and he would have gone there in a second if it was within driving distance of Scranton.

I'm curious on what ND is going to do about Brey if the Irish miss the NCAA's again.

Mike Brey, yet another Coach K prodigee who can't coach.

UGH! UCLA's remaining center, Lorenzo Mata, injured himself and it looks severe. He crashed right into Jordan Farmar going for a loose ball and his leg bent really awkwardly. :(

Pauley just deflated when Mata got hurt (he's a huge fan favorite) and UCLA nearly blew a 17 point lead to WSU. They held on by 2 points only when WSU missed a layup as time expired.

Mata's probably out for the year, and if that's the case, 3 out of UCLA's top 6 in the rotation are out for the season. Four other Bruins are out right now injured (Fey, Hollins, Shipp, Bozeman) and the biggest guy left on the UCLA roster is 6'7". UCLA now is playing with 8 guys including a walk-on 7th year senior, 2 sophomores and 5 freshmen. =\ And yet, UCLA is 14-2.

U-Dub at Pauley on Saturday, the Huskies looked sloppy but beat USC at the Sports Arena just now.

Oh, and Oregon State beat Arizona.
