Why are the Bulls down double-digits to the Bobcats at home in the 3rd quarer?

Missing their best player in Deng. When's he supposed to be back, anyway?

But they were missing Okafor and had a lead of at least 8 points for all but a few minues in the second half, it seemed. They just had an answer for everything.

Hopefully Deng will be ready for the Cavs. It's just a bruise, thankfully.

I know this is the Bulls thread, but did you guys see where Kobe has 62 points through three quarters against Dallas?

He scored 62 points in 33 mins. Not bad lol. I still hate him.

Bulls lose 108-100. I leave with them up by 7 in the third and come back with them down by double digits in the late fourth. :(

Yeah, Chicago played really good for the first three quarters, but the free-throw line tells the tale in this game. Cleveland shot 31 more free throws than the Bulls.

Yeah, I was watching the game at work and had to do some stuff with the Bulls up 10 with seconds left in the 3rd quarter. I come back to see them down 8.

sounds exactly like the Knicks game a few weeks ago. Had a big lead on them, but they shot nearly 60 FT's in that game. I didn't get to see the game tonight, but man...all of the fouls we are getting are killing us.

I was at the game tonite. How many times did they leave Jones open? Ridiculous. Furthermore, tonite sealed it - Chandler sucks.
Tonight, Chicago didn't have much of a choice but to give Jones a little room. They were getting killed early by Z, so they had to beef up in the lane, then LeBron took over, so whoever played DJ would give him a bit more room for helpside, and plus, before Damon caught fire, the Cavs were shooting poorly from the perimeter.

By the way, the TNT announcers said something interesting....

They said that Chandler was hurt by the 'boos' and that he had a video coordinater for the Bulls make a video of his best highlights. He watched them and then said that he is embarrassed by his play of late and is going to work as hard as he can to get better. Given, tonight wasn't a very good representation of that, but still, it's hope.

The Refs were blowing the whistle pretty quick in this one. Some of Chicago's fouls were questionable...

the bulls are average because they have a roster full of average players.

fixed.

whatever. the bulls aren't going anywhere until they get rid of skiles.

I think they wont go anywhere until they get rid of all the players who don't disserve to be on an NBA roster.

Also, I would agree that it would help is Skiles wouldn't give guys like Songalia and Pargo 18 and 15 mpg respectively. Perhaps a competant big man, or a guard over 6'2'' would help.

They have lots of money to spend next year, but it's pretty clear they aren't going anywhere with this roster, this year.

i could just see paxson making a big signing and then skiles benching that player into demanding a trade. skiles is a star-killer much like some stars are coach-killers.

we DO need a big guard and a better option than chandler at center. oh well, we're stuck with that one for a while.

yep we blew that one on Tyson...for now. He has regressed completely on defense this year. He had games last year where he would be all over the ball when the ball was off the rim last year...he boxed out and did a good job of doing that. He's not boxing out as much this year, he looks more lazy this year (not working out in the offseason could contribute to that), and he looks even worse (if possible) on the offensive side this year. Our main needs right now are definitely a Center so Tyson can go back to being a PF and a big "star" type guard.

Why is Skiles taking the blame? We have no inside presence. That is huge. The players are also not playing as good D as last year that's the problem. TOs need to be minimized as well. Some of the passes we made yesterday really hurt us. Hinrich can really get on my nerves sometimes when he has bad games.

I also would like to add that we are not driving to the lane at all. That's we we only have 10-15 free throws per game while the other teams has like 30.

Other than Jason Kidd, who is a star that Skiles "killed?"

And there are no stars on this team as of now. Luol will be one by year's end. I know you have a major manlove for Ben Gordon, but at least admit what he realistically is: a great offensive weapon and a terrible defensive liability. Face it, he's a tradeable asset that could land us a big guard that can keep us in games in the East.

Bulls lose 95-77.

Mike Miller shot way too many wide open 3's tonight. Skiles is going to have to change his defensive alignments if were going to make the playoffs this year. This has happened WAY too much this year with guys getting great, wide open looks for easy 3's.

The Bulls have problems that go much further than the coach. As stated, they have no middle presence. And if they aren't shooting well, they lose.

If there was an impact PF or C available via trade, I would trade Gordon and a pick for him right now.

Gordon is a great scorer, but he's awful defensively, and he turns the ball over WAY too often for my tastes. I'd sooner deal him than any player on the team, because you'd get a lot in return, and I don't think you'd miss Gordon as much as you think.
