I agree with Sully, lets go back to other coaches who are obviously way better than Skiles and enjoy losing again.

or, we could just enjoy being average.

Its not Skiles' fault that the personnel on this team is not better than a low playoff seed. This team will NEVER win anything unless they have a big (6'5 or up) guard because that's where this team gets destroyed.

Rip Hamilton

Paul Pierce

Dwyane Wade

Larry Hughes (or LeBron)

Michael Redd

Gilbert Arenas

Guys like this always just torch the Bulls because we don't pose legitimate matchups with these guys. They can shoot over the top of us with ease and as good of shooters as these guys are, it absolutely kills us.

I would love to see this team put together a package for either Pierce or Ron Artest. Probably would start with Ben Gordon and Tim Thomas for both those packages. Those guys would be invaluable for this team for next season. Enjoy the Knicks very high pick and draft a legit big man (Aldridge) and be ready for a run in the East next year.

Aldridge

Sweets

Deng

Artest/Pierce

Hinrich

That could be good enough to win the East.

i just doubt that artest will want to come to chicago to play for an even bigger screw than carlisle, and really neither will anyone. skiles has developed a rep in the league as being a jerk that gets a lot of production from lesser talented players, but struggles with more talented guys. he also systemiatically alienated his entire team in phoenix, which is why he got fired. but he was about as successful there as he has been here. i doubt he ever leads a team deep into the playoffs, nobody likes him.

I think our guards have been doing a wonderful job and to me the biggest hole is at Center or PF. A lot of the PFs and C just kill us. That being said Gordon, Hinrich and Duhon do not have the ideal height to be SGs and although I think Gordon has the ability to be a star his lack of size might be a problem, especially on the defensive front. Getting a tall SG is the second most needed after getting an inside presence. Luol Deng has a lot of talent as well and I think we could have beaten the Wizards if we had Deng and Curry in the playoffs. Skiles is an incredible coach and I never realized how important playing defense was until he came along.

Skiles is a straight shooter who values defense highly. That fits in with Artest's game. While I've heard Artest wouldn't mind letting his defense struggle if he were to get more touches, he'd still be an elite defender. And as someone who listens to Bulls games nearly every time they are on, I can safely say that I've never heard ANY player on the current roster who has said they hate Skiles.

Perhaps you have some evidence to back up your claim.

agree on everything. Skiles has done a remarkable job changing the team in just about 2 years now. For those criticizing Skiles, he has not had a superstar player in Chicago yet. I'm pretty sure we were the only team in the playoffs last year that didn't have a legitimate superstar. That says a lot about playing team basketball and you have to thank Skiles for putting the team philosophy out there.

there is one thing I am upset about Skiles though. The defense has definitely taken a step back so far this year. We had that streak last year where we had 25 games without allowing the opposing team hit 100 points. We look terrible on defense so far this year, but the 2nd half of yesterday's game gave me optimism that our D can still be very successful. It's going to have to be if we want to get at least past the 1st round in the playoffs.

speaking of superstars, on the Score yesterday, Pax was interviewed and apparently wasn't too happy about the team so far. He went on to say something that we need a superstar player and he wouldn't mind shaking things up. In lieu of the whole Artest thing, there could be a possibility Pax goes after him, or he can wait until Boston is out of the playoff race to go after Paul Pierce. Make it happen Pax

Well these guys you name get their points against everyone so I'm not too concerned about it.

Rip Hamilton-22.3PPG

Paul Pierce-26.5PPG

Dwyane Wade-26.7PPG

LeBron James-30.7PPG

Michael Redd-25.3PPG

Gilbert Arenas-27.7PPG

They did do a good job containing Wade and holding him to only 14 points. I realize we've allowed Pierce and Arenas to already go for 40+. I think what we need is a consistent scorer and/or a big man who can score and defend. We have a lot of guys who can shoot lights out one minute and then not be able to hit anything the next minute so we tend to go through a lot of bad runs during games. I think a consistent go-to guy would help out this team a lot (Paul Pierce).

Bulls down by 27 at the end of 3...in Sulley's defense, Skiles has pretty much gave this game to the Pistons. We were only down by 13 (its still a somewhat respectable margin) to start the 3rd and Malik freaking Allen is in to start the 3rd. Ben has gotten terrible minutes again tonight as well.

well let's get a win tomorrow against the Celts...

Ben has been on the floor and he hasn't done jack to be honest. It's a bad game. We got schooled bad.

Ben got most of his time in garbage time...at the half, he had the same minutes as Pargo had. Sweetney didn't even play the entire 2nd half. This is the one thing I do not like about Skiles as his rotations pretty much suck at times.

but, we did get beat by a better team. I'd be a lot more pissed off if this happened to a team like the Celtics or 76ers than Detroit.

Bulls up 30-21 after a quarter on the Superstation. Sweetney would've had a great first if he could hit a free throw, but Songaila is already in double digits off the bench.

What a show Duhon is putting on! He's 6 of 7 from the arc and the Bulls were 9 of 10 in third quarter alone to blow the game open. 90-63.

Okafor is out tonight with an ankle injury, but Deng may not play, either.

Their loss > Our loss

We'll get this one.

yeah I'd actually sit Deng out for this game because of that fact...we can live without Deng for a game especially against the Bobcats. I don't think they'll be able to survive without Okafor though.

Why are the Bulls down double-digits to the Bobcats at home in the 3rd quarer?

Because the Cubs signed Jaque Jones :(

I don't see any other explanation.

Bobcats with the win at the United Center...
