Looks like Edmonds doesn't enjoy strikes being called strikes.

no way was the 2nd pitch a strike

you're right. You have my sympathy.

Thanks, but we suck right now.

I'm depressed.

I was kidding. You get no sympathy from me.

I'm sure that receiving false sympathy from a random Cubs fan on an Internet message board has ruined your day, and for that I apologize. You have my sympathy.

That strike zone has been equally big for both teams, I still have no idea why adjusted the zone in '88. It si typically much more square than it should be. Of course, Larussa was thrown out on a pitch that was a ball.

Marquis isn't in this game mentally. Between losing his composure last inning and being the best hitting pitcher in MLB and not being able to bunt the runner over.

i would have really enjoyed seeing eckstein roll into a nice 6-4-3 after the announcers got down falling all over themselves about how he doesn't strike out.

larussa w/ some questionable calls this game. too bad they can't squeeze right here so everyone can call him a genius.

That was a strike on Edmonds?! And the ump then tosses him?!

Wow, there has been some pathetic umpiring in the last week.

why is brennaman sticking up for edmonds? you know damn well you can't argue balls and strikes, does the rule change because it's the 8th inning of game 4 and you're jim edmonds?

That was a horrible to call to say he went around and to throw him out for simply arguing.

he went around, but i think commentators were right - it was a called strike, not a swinging strike. Usually the ump will point at the batter on a swing and a miss.

he stepped out of the box, went behind the catcher and had an extended argument w/ the ump.

it was a bad call, but edmonds should know better. nobody's going to bend the rules for him.
