I hate Edmonds and the cards, but I think the ump needs to have a bit more leeway in the postseason. I think LaRussa pushed it far enough, but Eyeliner shouldn't have been run.

And a potential classic AB by Rodriguez is hosed because of Houston's child-designed ballpark.

I feel dirty for having said anything good about a Cardinal, but man.

yep the ump messed up, but Edmonds got thrown out so no complaining from me :D

i can't believe i'm pulling so hard for the Astros now...

And I can't believe I'm really pulling for the Cards. Someone needs to slap me.

why is brennaman sticking up for edmonds? you know damn well you can't argue balls and strikes, does the rule change because it's the 8th inning of game 4 and you're jim edmonds?

well he did say that Edmonds should know better since he is a veteran and this is the freaking NLCS. The pitch wasn't even close to a strike, but Edmonds definitely did not need to call the ump whatever he called him.

Edmonds let us down... thats the bottom line.

You wanna know the worst of it? I have to go in to work after this because some bone heads I work with.

well it is still a one run game and you guys do have the heart of your order coming up in the 9th. Lidge definitely didn't look like himself yesterday, who knows what will happen in the 9th tonight.

Yeah, even though that was a awful call, Edmonds has to keep his composure, although if this were in any other ballpark, JRod would have given the Cards the lead because of the meltdown.

1st and 3rd, none out. Good AB by Walker. There have been some good games this series, despite the shoddy umpire bug that has been going around the league this week.

Nice play by Ensberg. The contact play is stupid. There's no way Pujols should be going there. Larry Walker with a heads-up baserunning play.

This is the kind of 9th the Cubs would have. 1st and 3rd, and now watch Sanders K and whoever is next GIDP..

Oops. Didn't mean to call it.
