Why the hell would a bunch of Cardinal fans come to a Cubs board to bitch about home cooking. This thread deserves to be stickied as a reminder of what not to post.

The ball was hit right at Nunez and should have been made from all accounts I have heard.

Heard? Did you even see the play?

If you didn't have a history here, I'd call you a troll. You certainly appear to be trolling in this thread at least.

Rockies at St. Louis: April 18, 2004

Rolen hit home runs in consecutive at-bats Saturday, leading the Cardinals to an 8-4 win over the Rockies. The third baseman had four RBIs, raising his major league-leading total to 23. Rolen was awarded two extra RBIs earlier in the day, when and an official scoring change was made, erasing an error from Friday's game and giving him a two-run triple.

``I can't complain about that,'' Rolen said. ``I was on a roll before I even swung the bat.''

I figured out where Geo Soto is, he's hiding out in the shrubbery in CF with binoculars and a walkie talkie relaying signs!!!!!!!

1Wizard - Whining about an official scorer? You must have been one of those drunk Cardinals fans harrassing Nomar and Mia when they were collecting money for the hurricane victims? Very classy.

Chicago Suntimes:

TOUCH OF CLASS: It would have been nice to see Nomar Garciaparra succeed to the point this season that the Cubs had to bring him back next year. But with two straight years of health problems Garciaparra is probably too much of a risk to re-sign.

It's unfortunate because Garciaparra and his wife, Mia Hamm, showed again Thursday why they are considered class acts.

While collecting for hurricane relief with other players and wives at entrance gates before the game, Garciaparra and Hamm were subjected to having a picture taken with three St. Louis fans who were yelling, "Go Cardinals,'' the entire time and appeared to have gotten an early start at a nearby saloon.

What could have been an ugly situation never got close to it because Garciaparra and Hamm handled the three alpha males with grace and sent them on their way.

I can't believe this is a thread.

I can't believe some of you people care so much. Guess what? Derrek Lee is a great hitter. That call could've gone either way. Let it go. If the batting title comes down to that one play (which I doubt it will) than so be it. Who cares?

wow... this is pathetic. I used to have a lot of respect for the Cards fans who post here.

I mean, come one, you guys are getting riled up over one little frick'n change. Stuff like this happens all the time, at EVERYBODIES home park. It happens here, in StL, in NY, wherever. Get over it.

Just to restore your faith in the non-complete retardation of Cardinals fans: http://forums.stltoday.com/viewtopic.php?t=289433

This thread just shows what will happen on here if Andrew Jones wins the MVP over Pujols or Willis/Clemens wins the Cy Young over Carpenter.

This is the only time I'm glad to be living in St. Louis so that I can provide information that Cardinal fans seem to forget. Another poster listed a time when the official scorer changed the scoring to benefit Rolen. Well, and Cardinal fans dispute me if I'm wrong (which I'm not), there have been several times that Duncan has griped to the official scorer , during and after games, in STL to change the scoring from hits to errors to help their pitchers' ERA. So, why is it cheating now? Oh yea, because it's the Cubs.

Listen you are aruging wiht like 2 cards fans. Most the cardinals fans on here and on the Cardinals board agree with you and the cubs fans. Its not cheating it should have been an error but every hometeam gets them. Your classifying all cardinals fans when most dont believe there was anything wrong.

I meant to place the word "some" in front of Cardinal fans in my first sentence. But in no other way could you have gotten from my post that I was grouping all Cardinal fans, because that was not my intent. My intent was just to the original poster of the thread. I know there are some "good" Cardinal fans, and that's always tough for me to admit.

Dont worry Dalgreen, I really didnt think you were classifying all Cards fans, I just think that some people in the thread have. Allthough in this case you guys might be right because the people complaining about this are idiots.

Lee's first at-bat was called an error. Now the scorer has changed it to a hit. That is sad when a team has to cheat to help their player out.

Let's see last series Eckstein had a ball through his legs it was scored an error, Pujols a single off Walker glove.....comes around goes around, Ya it has helped the cubs to an almost 500 record

With D. Lee benefiting from yet another questionable hit, I ask the question how long does an official score have to change a call?

With the ball hit up the middle both middle infielders touched the ball and yet a hit is given. Santo and Hughes were both surprised by the official scorer's call. Hughes made the point that the play should have ended the game thus he believe it was an error.

Yeah, I'm sure all of Pujols' hits have been clean.

Anyway, didn't you get enough of this the first time? Even the people on CardsTalk didn't agree with you.

Jesus christ. If a Cub fan went to one of the god forsaken cardinal message boards and said "The Cardinals are cheating for Pujols", he would be banned on the spot.

You're lucky the mods are so nice here.

Do you watch EVERY Cubs game? Geez.

At least you realize your threads are stupid.

Two times for this nonsense...I vote for b&.

I'm surprised he's still here. I was looking at some of his older posts the other day when he started that other asinine thread... and it's pretty shocking that he hasn't been banned yet.
