a long tradition that start4ed many years ago by one of our members on the Cubs site, with our frustration I hope this is a good time to pull this thread out and se where it unravels. :roll:

 

1. That Ronny Cedeno is sure injury prone we should dump him right now and sign Jose (super utility man) macias to a long term contract.

 

2. keep Nomar at third he looks so natural there.

Funny you posted the Nomar one, but I just heard Paul Sullivan on the Score and he said he would resign Nomar, put him at third and trade Aramis to Florida for Juan Pierre and maybe Lowell if Florida wanted to contract dump.

 

And his reason for trading Aramis: He can't stay healthy.

Aramis for Pierre sounds like an amazing trade. Esp. if it frees up third base for Nomar. Why wasn't this done earlier? Why has Nomar played SS his whole career? Dusty really is one of the best managers since he found Nomar was being played in the wrong position his whole career. Plus, Aramis gets hurt way to much, and Nomar is definately going to be healed and injury free next year.

I am glad we don't have Dontrell anymore his re-negotiated contract would kill us and we wouldn't have money for Nefi and Macias.

Sullivan is an idiot. If we want to keep Nomar at third and trade Ramirez, there are much better deals available.

 

How about sign Nomar for third and trade Ramirez and Patterson to the Yankees for Arod and a prospect. Nomar and Arod for third and short...take your pick.

 

Or, trade Ramirez and Patterson to the Braves for A. Jones and Marte.

The White Sox have a real legit chance of winning the World Series. There is no way they will choke away their HUGE 5 game lead. They have a real easy schedule the rest of the way too.

Furcal is worth $7.5M more per year than Cedeno.

 

Neifi just turned 32 in June, so he is just now entering his prime years(32-36). Give him a 4 year contract to lock in all his peak production.
