This was a tough one to swallow for the Indians. I thought Westbrook and Riske were kept in too long. Riske threw 26 pitches in the 9th, I didn't think sending him out for the 10th was a good idea. I kinda wanted Betancourt for the another inning too, but oh well. Hate to say it, but tomorrow is must win for the Indians, go Tribe!
Yeah. I thought Westbrook was left in too long for sure. But Riske hadn't pitched in 9 days, so they might have just been trying to get him some work. But he didn't do a stellar job in the 9th to begin with.

As far as the announcers, yeah, Chicago Whitesox announcers are horrible. To me it just seems like they are too biased. If a player swings and misses for the other team they'll say something like 'wow folks, he wasn't even close to that one.' It just gets really annoying. However, I <3 Tom Hamilton.

I watched the game tonight and I think it was probably the first White Sox game I've ever watched. You guys are right. Their tv guys are terrible.

I thought Al Hrabosky was a big homer. Hawk makes Hungo look like Peter Jennings. That "he gone" thing is stupefying.

If the Sox are winning, you mute during their half of the inning, then you turn the volume back on for their opponent assuming it's a close game. There's no better sound in baseball than the sound of silence emerging from the White Sox booth when they lose a lead.

Isn't that wierd? I mean, you can hear a pin drop. Most announcers lament their own team's inadequacies, or marvel at what the other team just did. Those guys just clam up completely. I wish they would clam up more often.

Compared to the Caray/Stone days, it's like night and day. Caray and Stone would fill every second of the broadcast with announcing, while it seemed like 50% of a Sox game is dead air. What do they pay those guys for? (well, I know DJ is paid to carry Hawk's jock around for him  )

I love how everyone in the Chicago media was talking about how yesterday saved the season and how it put a nail into the Indians' coffin. Then they come back today and get rocked.

The press is sooooo hyperbolic, it's not even funny. They need to remember the three games the Sox have in Cleveland to end the season. Those games could very well decide the ALC title.

Man, even now they still can't sell out that stadium. 36,543 attended yesterday's game, which translates out to 4000 empty seats.

Have you ever been in the upper deck of that stadium? It's pitched so much that you feel like you'll fall out of it if you lean forward. You'd have to pay me to sit there.

I don't think it is as bad as Busch Satdium's upper deck, although it is close.

the schedule really favors the tribe. and they get a day off, while the tribe is playing all the way through. we'll be talking about this collapse for awhile.

Cubs-Brewers outdrew them two out of the last three games. TV ratings for the Sox are improving, but many of those tuning in are people like me - people reveling in this.

Keep it up Ozzie!
