Lineup per WSCR:

Lawton

Walker

Lee

Ramriez

Burnitz

Barrett

Perez

Patterson

Z

...can't say I'm thrilled with Nomar being on the bench. Otherwise, it's pretty good.

Just as long as we win.

*whew* I was worried that yesterday's game would lead to Dusty plugging Macias and Perez in the one and two holes.

What I find hilarious is that we have an over .500 record in both one-run and two-run games. That's pretty funny.

The world is just full of interesting and funny anomalies, no?

Team record by leadoff hitter

                        W L pct
1. Macias 2 0 1.000
2. Patterson 14 13 0.519
3. Hairston 27 27 0.500
4. Perez 11 11 0.500
5. Lawton 1 7 0.125
6. Gerut 0 1 0.000
7. Murton 0 1 0.000

Totals 55 60 0.478

edit: or how about this one.....

Team record by cleanup hitter

                        W L pct
1. Barrett 1 0 1.000

i can understand giving nomar a break. don't like it but understand it.

but where is the daily double? we all beg and pleading for the lineup featuring the two "punch and judy hitting midgets " at the top. fianlly dusty listens to us, and we have our best offensive game of the month...and then he does this...is he trying to lose! (feigns complaints about today's lineup, since that worked so well yesterday)

what's he going to do next sit dlee.....lol

Maybe Lawton will let it come to him today, since joining the Cubs he's roughly(quick glance at SportsLine Game Log) 5-25, 1BB, .240 OBP, I believe he may be trying too hard to make something happen.

Marquis is pitching horrible and seems to be on the hot seat in the rotation. Should be an easy win for the Cubs but who knows

Apparently you've missed some of the pitchers that SHUT US DOWN during the 8 game losing streak. Remember the Reds swept us by allowing 8 runs in the series. THE REDS

I got him down for this line.....

Thanks, in either case, I knew his line since joining the Cubs has been very poor.

Hey !!! Don't be dissing that great Cincinnati pitching staff headed up by Cy Claussen, Cy Harang, and Cy Milton !! You just gotta tip your hat when you're in the company of such greatness !!

Not to be nit picky... but we got 9 runs off that bunch.

That's the lineup?

I was hoping to see the Cub Foods Celeberity Bat Kid get some AB's today. You know, little Freddy Wochowski from Mokina?

Indeed. Let's hope Lawton begins to distinguish himself today.... and then we fans won't be underwhelmed anymore. Maybe then we'll just be whelmed, eh?

Baker's logic.

I don't think those two words belong next to each other. :D

In any case Nomar probably needed a day off and at least he didn't bat Perez first.

I think Zambrano drills a card hitter today, given that ARam got hot yestersday in the 9th. Who wants to guess who Z will hit?

I'm guessing he'll hit J-Rod or Edmonds.

It would be high comedy if he hit Edmonds...

as opposed to "low comedy" if J-Rod gets plunked???

I'm gonna say Eckstein. small, quick, yet highly hittable

:D

I hope he hits Taguchi and he pulls out some of his moves and Judo chops Zambrano in the throat then karate kicks him that would be funny.

I have a feeling Z would literally break Taguchi were he to charge the mound. It would not be pretty

Is it possible to hit someone as small as Eckstein with a pitch? Kinda like trying to find Calista Flockhart when she's turned sideways.

I have that feeling too, but never underestimate the power of Taguchi.

I have confidence in the movement of Z's fastball.........

Z's crazy enough to run past Taguchi, pick up his bat, then commit a series of heinous crimes. I pity the fool who decides to charge Krazy Karlos.
