WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE BREAKS?????

Making up for the last 8 games of not getting any, I guess.

CubsHawk,

This team reminds me of a team that plays in our state during the winter.

cubs getting ALL the breaks today! where the hell have these been the last 3 plus weeks?

Do you think this is on purpose? I think LaRussa is capable of throwing the game. (not really just echoing some people's opinion a last year when the Cards were playing other WC teams)

At first I was upset at having to watch this game period, then I was upset at having to watch it on Cards-vision, but now that we are getting the breaks, I like hearing the Cards announcers sound down and sad.

:D

Now I hope we can hold this lead, so I don't have to hear them get happy.

I am not gonna go preach the Cubs have a shot at the WC just because of this one game - which isn't over yet - but GD it sure is nice to be seeing the Cubs offense work again. And the defense playing pretty well too. Like taking a breath of fresh air after spending half a day down in a rank sewer.

How 'bout a nice and easy 1-2-3 here, Greg, huh whaddaya say!?

It's hard to mount a comeback when Maddux has an extra inch or two on either side of the play than his counterparts.

Pujols had that "ball" called a strike inside, and out of fear of another ball being called a strike, he swung and missed. He was frustrated. It carried over into the field.

This blows. I could mention something about the standings, but I won't. Obviously, this isn't about that. This is just about this kick ass rivalry, and winning one game at a time.

For the Cubs to have a shot, we going to need to go like 17-2 over the rest of the month.

it would be really nice if the cubs could at least play good baseball and go down playing what appears to be hard.

no s***? Where have you been the past 15 years?

Where was this team eight games ago?

It's frustrating knowing what could have been.

You'd think they'd win 8 straight after getting Lawton..

And Maddux through a 0-2 pitchr right down the middle of the plate that was called a ball. Live with it buddy. Games like this is all we have to live for.

Some people shouldn't post in game threads.
