The Cubs have now scored in all 6 innings of today's game. I have to ask the same thing everyone else has...where has this team been for the past 8 games?!?!

Yes Cardinal fans, keep telling yourself that Pujols is just as good a fielder as D. Lee.

RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will never ever claim Pujols should sniff a gold glove this year. Worst error I've seen him make.

Bob Dernier in the booth with Pat and Ron. Good times - ANOTHER HR for DLEE!!!!!

It's like he's saying, "MVP this, Pujols." :D

You can't say Poo Holes? P00 H0les - there's one for Modzilla! ;-)

He has made a couple nice picks today, on throws from Eckstein and Nunez. I've always said that Pujols wasn't gold glove caliber, but everyone has a bad error now and again.

In the 8 game losing streak, Cubs scored 22 runs (2.75 RPG) and in today's game, they've scored 10 runs, ALREADY!

I don't knows saddest/funniest... losing 8 in a row to teams like PHI/NYM & CIN or destroying a team like StL right after that.

Is this telling us we have a team that only gets up for teams like the Cards, and not their "brethren" WC teams??

You're right Rusch33, this IS just like a team we know of that plays in-state, in the winter time.

How many think Dusty will take credit for the outburst and the win? With his guys up front (and doing well)?

Ah well, don't over-analyze it, just enjoy it, I guess.

Haha.. Hopefully that team in state will do something this year.

i realize this, and i really am not going to get excited at all but it would be nice to have the bats going consistently.

I wish Mulder would get his ****ing act together.

The trade is already regrettable with Haren't success in Oakland...if Barton amounts to anything, the trade will be the worst in Jocketty's tenure in St. Louis.

He just does not pitch inside!

I think if we can end the year with a winning record against the Cardinals, it won't be a complete failure.

I understand where you're coming from, but you sound like all too many Sox fans do against the Cubs.

Oh yes he does, see Lee's 1st HR.

He was awesome in the first half of 2004 and all of 2003.. what happened?

Just want something positive about the season, and at least the Cards are our real rivals.

i know saying beating the cardinals would make the season a little better, but i go to school with cardinal fans, and trust me if the cubs went 0-17 against the cardinals for five years in a row but won ONE world series i would take it. but at this point beating the cardinals would make things a little bit better, not much though.

nice patience Corey, even though they are pitching around him there were a couple I think he would have swung at before.
