Yeah, we've talked about firing Baker, Hendry, players, but Rothschild hasn't done a great job the last two years. How can you have virtually the whole bullpen unable to throw strikes? Then when you bring people up they can't throw strikes, either?

Right on dalgreen, Rothschild is as responsible IMO.

Thats why the entire coaching staff should be fired.

Haha. Junior with a 2-run double. It's 7-1 now. I've given up on the season so it's funny watching them completely fall apart.

Not your fault kid. Dusty did this. You don't have the stuff yet, and he's letting you and everyone else know the hard way. Screw the trial by fire stuff - take your shower, then call your agent and have him do the bawling out for you and demand a trip to Iowa for the rest of the season.

It's the old adage in baseball. When your pen gets worked over everyday somebody has to take one for the team.

I'm predicting the Cards score 40 runs against us in at least one of the games this weekend.

It helps if the bonehead manager calls to the pen early enough to get people warmed up. It also helps if they are used properly by the manager - the right pitcher(s) for the right situation(s).

Having said that, though, I do think Rothschild keeps his butt on the bench far too often when his pitchers are struggling - most glaring example being the infamous Game 6.

I think it's safe to say that Dusty's one strong point as a manager- motivation- is no longe a strong point.

Sure am glad we've got him under cotnract for next year. :?

With this performance, any Hill plus extras for Dunn trade this offseason can be kissed goodbye.

Once agin, another player has successfully devalued himself in a Cub uniform.

yep. he's done...i can tell all i need to know about a guy after four starts.

this whole season is the fault of hill and patterson.

Game isn't over yet.

It always is darker before the light!!

Scott, I like you, but if you keep talking like this, I'm gonna puke and then I'm gonna clobber you. :-)

I gonna still believe that they will pull this game out of the fire and end the streak.

They have nothing to lose now. It's all about pride. We'll see what kind of men this team is made of when they can only play for pride. Everything else might be out of reach.

Hill had a bad game. As a team you move on. Get the Offense going and see what happens.

Dude, you're way too optimistic in the midst of a 7 game losing streak.

This.Game.Is.Over.

The Cubs haven't scored 7 runs in the past week or two, what makes you think they'll score 7?

When you have no one who knows how to throw strikes, there is no proper way to use them.

Can we fire the whole Cubs coaching staff and bring up the entire DJAXX coaching staff?

Let's bring up the entire DJaxx team and see what they can do.

Scott, I gotta say that you've drinken a little too much Cubbie kool-aid. This team doesn't have any pride right now. They're down by 6 runs. They haven't scored 6 runs in I don't know how long. It's over.
