I don't understand why Dusty doesn't understand that people with high OBP should bat high in the lineup, and people wiht low OBP should not. Macias should NEVER lead off. NEVER. It's giving him more at bats than Lee, Ramirez, Walker, Barrett, etc. Heck, I'd rather have Lee lead off than Macias.

Macias shouldn't be playing for that matter. I feel confident that Murton could play as good or better a center field as Macias...and Murton could lead off! Burnitz could play center. This is so ridiculous.

Woo hoo! 1,000 posts! Only took me two years and three months.

Ronnie just told a story that proudly concluded with the line, "i spread my legs and it went right past and ended up on the floor."

I'd say his stat line shows he's earning his money.

He's been the best hitter in the NL for the last 2 months, IIRC. He's earning his money.

thats also why he gets the significant benefit of having Todd Hollandsworth protect him in the lineup.

Ok, I will rephrase for the Stat Line....run your lazy rear end off. Cool?

I would prefer he not try and run to hard all the time, remember he has had growing problems in the past and the last thing we need is for him to get hurt trying to beat out an infield hit in the first inning of a game.

He's slow anyway. I doubt he'd have beaten it out. Besides, him hesitating before a ball is called fair or foul down the line isn't the end of the world, and doesn't mean he's lazy.
