Typical Cubs inning that just seems par for the course the last 2 years. when is this team going to get it?

He's right...

 

You miss with a FB, you're less likely to give up a line drive/HR than you would if you hung a breaking ball. A hanging curve/slider is the easiest pitch in baseball to drive.

I don't think the cubs are that bad fundamentally. In case you didn't notice, the cards have had some miscues this game as well....executing a suicide squeeze does not make your teem overall fundamentally good.

I generally dont laugh at teams that are ahead of us by more than 10 games in the standings. Oh and they have had just as many injuries as us too.
