Why waste Wuertz in this game??

Mike has apparantly tumbled down the depth chart. He was wasted in the first game of that Atlanta doublheader, and he's no longer being used like a setup man. Novoa, who has been either great or awful has somehow gotten the job without showing much.

Why work Wood more in an 11-1 game?

I have no problem using Wuertz here. Better to get him to shake the rust off in an 11-1 game than a 2-1 game.

Why, why, why is Kerry out of the game?

You don't think he's experienced another twinge? :?

It's a blowout and guys like Wuertz haven't pitched since before the AS break, so they need a little work.

Nice game by Kerry, though. He benefitted from the wind, but he looked pretty good.

Jesus people, it's 95 degrees and we have a 10 run lead. Bullpen hasn't pitched much due to our outstanding pitching the last 5 games.

Give Woody the rest of the day off. Keep our starter studs fresh. I got no problem. I'd rather Remmy or some other scrub come in, but empty the bench.

There will be no more twinges from anyone the rest of the year. That's an order. (I hope)

It's a ten run lead. Why over-work Wood when it isn't necessary. The pen hasn't gotten much work due to the break. This is an excellent time to get the pen three innings of work.

Yeah, a setup guy has to find the strike zone, particularly Strike One. Still eluding him - double by Castillo.

Come on, Wuertz, just pitch.

Send Cedeno back to Iowa. Hopefully by the time Neifi slumps again, Nomar will be up.

Unfortunately that would leave them without somebody who can play SS. They need to keep Ronny up unless they get another SS or Nomar returns.

Cody Ransom can do just as good of a job sitting on the bench as Cedeno. I'd be able to live with the risk of losing Ransom once Nomar is activated.

What is the 40 man situation with Murton, Greenberg and Grieve being added?

I could buy that if he put in Novoa or Ohman or Rusch, but the most overworked guy down ther, no.

I jumped on to see why Kerry came out of the game and saw the posts above.

I don't think anyone is saying he shouldnt have come out, just wondering if he was injured.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to stick Holla at 1B, and Murton or Grieve in the OF.

that play by Lee could've been scary.

Mark Cuban? yuck.

I guess being rich doesn't cure being tone-deaf. :)

Still, he was enthusiastic. That's most of the job right there.
