Let me guess... they didn't have the foresight to warm someone else up, so Dempster will be coming in with a 6 run lead?

You mispelled "Novoa"

I'm talking about all of the base running blunders. And the almost amazing catch that went off of his glove in Hot-Lanta.

Looked like Novoa was getting ready to come in instead of Dempster...

Well that's good, then they will have avoided the situation similar to Fox earlier in the year, when they used him in a pointless situation after getting a big lead.

Good game by Kerry and the Cubs.

We sure could use a sweep tomorrow and then 3 of 4 against the Pirates.

I would like to point out, that Novoa through 9 pitches, all of them strikes. (that being that they were either called, swinging, fouls, or in play). Nice job. keep it up.

Perez struck out (called)

Burnitz...just because you don't like Perez doesn't mean you should go lying about him.

Damn !! Well I knew it was one of those names that ends in "Z". !!

Intentionally walking Lee to get to Macias with first base open. A drunken little league coach could have called that.

Cubs should hire a drunken little league coach then.

:lmao:

Hey, wadduya know. Rookies can do stuff.

But, the negativity works. So, Cubs still suck.

Maybe next time the tv info could at least happen.

And the starting pitchers. Some of us DO care. Nothing personal roast, but if you're not going to put the necessary info in the game thread, then let someone else start it.

1. I did not know who was starting.

2. I did not know what channel it was going to be on.

3. I was planning on adding those things after the cubs website put that info on their page, but i forgot.

4. I think I just got on someones case the other day for this, and was told it was ok because he was "shaking things up a bit"

It was originally and funny once, but now I think people would rather just have the information.

I think sometimes people take these things waaaaaaaaay too seriously.

For future reference, in case the thread starter forgets, decides to shake it up, or whatever...

1. click on the address window of you web browser.

2. type in the window "www.cubs.com".

3. Look to the left hand side of the page when it loads (15-30 seconds with high speed internet...a little longer with dial-up) and you will see the information that you seek.

Rather than get upset, just find it yourself. Does this need to be a sticky? :P

Great to see Kerry go deep into the game and the Cubs to get a bit of a winning streak going into the break. Anyone else okay with KWood trading Ks if it means he can pitch into the 8th inning? And I want to print out copies of Dusty's lineup card for the next month with JHJ and TWalk in the 1-2 holes.

Let's keep it goin tomorrow and build up some momentum Cubs!

I am! Kerry is too old to be a thrower like he was when we all affectionately referred to him as Kid K. Its time he learns to minimize his pitches (especially considering our shaky bullpen) so he can go deeper into games. It was a great outing and hopefully a momentum builder.
