I wonder how diffferent this inning would be if we had actually brought in a decent pitcher instead of Roberto Novoa?

I know he threw the meatball on a 0-2 count, but shouldn't Barrett or mgmt get some of the blame for calling for that pitch?

Did you see how high Barrett set-up? That pitch was not where he wanted it.

That's not where Barrett set up to catch it.

Yeah, he missed by a foot or so. That was just a pathetic pitch.

You can clearly see in the replay that Barrett setup up and in. Novoa just didn't hit his spot.

He was calling for the ball way up and in. Novoa threw it right down the middle.

Inside and about at head level. The pitch was right over the middle of the plate. He missed by a ton.

hey i thought Hairston couldn't play LF dude.

Dusty knows he's getting fired soon. He is just letting it all hang out.

I swear the day I wake up, turn on the computer and see a "Baker Fired" thread on NSBB, I am going to run around my apartment complex hooting and hollaring with joy.

Since when did Novoa become the set-up man? or does Dusty have a set-up man by committee?

Dusty goes with whoever he feels like. I would've rather seen Remlinger in that spot. At least he knows what he's doing.

This team isn't even "fun-bad"

It has its moments. When one of the pitchers is on, when Derrek Lee is hitting well, when Ramirez is hitting well, or something like that tends to at least make things interesting.

None of that has been happening much recently.

As soon as he threw the pitch my jaw dropped. How could a pitcher miss by THAT much to the best hitter on their team??

This whole team has come down with Crapititis. Demoralized and Broken.

This may be it, folks.

Season over.

BUT THERE'S LIKE 80 GAMES LEFT THIS SEASON!! WE CAN GET HOT, AND NOMAR CAN GET HEALTHY AND WE CAN GO ON A BIG WINNING STREAK AND WIN THE WILD CARD!! DON'T YOU KNOW THE LAST 3 WILD CARDS HAVE WON THE WORLD SERIES???? THERE'S STILL SO MUCH SEASON LEFT FOR THINGS TO GO WRONG!!

Yup, thought so. It sounds stupid when I say it, too.
