This one ain't bothering me; every loss brings Dusty closer to an extended fishing trip.

I hate so say it, but I'm with you, J.R.. I almost want them to lose.

Everyone be sure to check the announcement at the top of Baseball Discussions or the Minor League Forum (It's the same announcement in both forums)

Three pitches, three outs for the Cubs in the seventh.

Fire Dusty!

The Braves announcers were saying you'd think the Cubs would at least take a pitch with Smoltz struggling with the pitch count. They noted we were playing into Smoltz's hands by not taking any pitches. If they can see it, how come Dusty and Clines can't?

My theory is that all the other teams are doing the " hey bata bata swing bata bata!!" and every time they yell swing the Cubs do it. :?

Maybe we get them some ear plugs and everything will be fine.

Just curious....I know in HS, the coach would give the "take" sign. Do they do it in the bigs???? I mean, you'd think the coaches AND players would know to work the count and get his pitch count up. Do the players really need to be told this???? And if so, who's to say they'll listen?
