I'm glad we're so patient today.

"Dude, we've pt got to pt try to pt get through the pt first one and take the pt second one too"

Could you run that by me again in English?

I would like to think this is a big game for my man ronnie, but it probably doesn't matter if he has 3 hits--probably back to the pine.

I wonder if the coaching staff recognizes the good approach he has--that was still one of the better ABs I have seen in about a week.

Am I the only who truly thinks this guys has star all over him??--I just really thinks he gets "it"

You know how Dusty does that spitting thing without actually spitting every time he's at the mic?

No, I haven't noticed that, but I also only get about 10 Cubs games each year because my stupid cable company doesn't give me Comcast.

I think too many people get caught up in the number of pitches per inning. If a pitcher is around the plate throwing strikes like Colon for the Braves was Tuesday, then you have to swing, and at least you're swinging at strikes. It's the eight or ten pitch innings where hitters are swinging at balls that's pathetic.

Which is what we do a lot of times. That, and I'm also sick of swinging at the first pitch just to be swinging at the first pitch. If it's a pitch you can crush fine, but don't hit a little dribbler to the shrotstop on the first pitch all the time.

What makes this even worse is if a pitcher knows (ie Patterson) that you're swinging at the first pitch, it will be nowhere near the plate.

Mark Prior already deserves a hand. Unlike over the past week, he's been able to get out of the first without allowing a run.

For those of you who are able to watch, should Dubois have made that play?

if Holla was out there, he would've made that catch.

Agreed.
