Prior is pitching a good game today, unfortunately Ramirez is pitching just a little bit better. Have faith though, Vazquez outpitched Carp until the end yesterday, so karma is in your favor.

Our offense will make any pitcherr look like Roger Clemens though.

Prior's pitch counts since comming back have been in the 70's for game one and 80's for game two. If we can reasonably assume he'll get to pitch into the 90's today, that still means he'll be out after six innings. Could be rough going late in this one. Plus, we're going to tax the bvullpen today with the DHer. Praying fro rain in FLA.

Where's that poster from yesterday who was telling me that the Cubs swinging at first pitches and early in counts was being aggressive. The first four innings today are exhibit #5646464 as to why our offense stinks. This bum is averaging about 10 pitches per inning.

I miss Hornk's solid PBP.

The good news is I am setting up a super easy work travel schedule for the next couple weeks. It looks like real cake so far.

Speaking of travelling, I'm headed to Cedar Point, Ohio this weekend. Gonna ride the roller coasters.

And now back to your offensively offensive Chicago Cubs game thread.

You know Doobs has head problems now defensively, he's screwed up so many times.

Walker and Lee seem to be the only guys on this team with an approach at the plate that I like. Even ARam is too aggressive for my liking, although he's a good enough hitter that he gets away with it. Cedeno has actually seen a lot of pitches in his ABs since he's been up - hopefully that will continue. His walk rate is a litle low, though.

Walker needs to have a talk with the offense. Him, Lee, and most of the time Ramirez are the only Cubs that can get on base anymore.

I heard an announcer a few days back mention that the Cubs have not had a lead in a game since their last win. True? If so, what is it - 62ish innings so far?

I'm pretty sure that's true.

I'm pretty sure that's true.

In the early 90's didn't we have a stretch of like 3-4 games where we were shut out? Something like 30+ innings without scoring a run?

Why are you asking me? I was born in 1989. :P

You know, it is kinda nice to see a team playing the game right. Sacrificing, moving runners over, etc. Too bad it is not our team, it is the Braves
