  1. Some of you guys are meatballs in reverse. Seriously. Do u not believe in accountability or is it always some other fault?
  2. With the stockpiling of prospects, will the cubs we susceptible to losing a lot in the Rule 5 draft? Is everyone not on the 40 man roster eligible to be drafted?
  3. Doesn't Garza need to be traded in order to be a free agent this winter without the restrictions that kyle loshe had?
  4. Question...is there a means to measure if some guys hit the ball hard and thus, have a high BABIP?
  5. I really wonder what Theo thinks of Starlin's D and future as SS. I've been very apologetic based on his age but even I'm getting concerned. Hopefully he figures out his arm angle when these games start meaning something.
  6. 1). Symmetry 2). It's not and never has been symmetrical. Exactly. Wrigley is one of the lest symmetrical ballparks in the majors. And that's definitely part of its charm. I'm wasn't referring to the field dimensions. The architecture is very symmetrical and that is part of it's charm more than the few feet of differences on the field. Just my opinion. I hope it looks great.
  7. Part of what makes Wrigley beautiful is it's symmetrism (not a word). I don't mind the new LED board and seats, I just hope they add it to left field as well.
  8. Hopefully he isn't scared away by the fact that our star player is named Castro. =D>
  9. Hopefully he isn't scared away by the fact that our star player is named Castro. =D>
  10. We should quickly sign Sveum and give him the Red Sox as compenstion and be done with it.
  11. They are Pujols and two mediocre decisions away from a *very* expensive 81-win team. And, unfortunately, that should be good enough to fill the seats back up.
  12. We were a better team without d lee. As he got older, he had the Fred McGriff effect.
  13. Most GM's like to maximize the trade return by not publicly saying they want to trade a guy. Only our guy does that...
  14. Even more reason to trade him this off season.
  15. I'm not assuming we are going to be in these, but just in case, is there any way to determine the dates? I have to plan a trip during the week of Oct 7 for two days and obviously want to avoid a game.
  16. IMO he and Gally were the keys to the trade. Yeah, to me, this trade was all about Donaldson and Gallagher. Murt and Epatt's defense would always be a limiting factor to how valuable they would be to a contending ML team.
  17. With the exception of Sorino's range, it seems to be that our outfield d is not allowing many hits to drop. Is there a way to compare the # of balls that land in play from year to year?
  18. are you kidding? In a heartbeat. He sticks out like a sore thumb on this team and it's only going to get worse.
  19. keep up the fight., Duece. There is a silent majority of baseball people on our site who understand the difference between fielding a fantasy line up versus once that actually has to play defense and react to the mental aspects of the game. These factors contribute equally if not greater to a team winning games. However, the vocal group here is what makes this site so entertaining. As you've seen, some people here attack conventional baseball thinking for the sake of "fitting in" The reality is, people on the extreme side of either position are most likely blinded.
  20. Wow. We may have a new Sammy patroling RF in Wrigley.
  21. Agreed. I'm afraid it will be ugly as quick as 2008. Arod in a heartbeat.
  22. I thought I remembered a few trades we made them..
