Heartwarming. Hopefully he tweaks his arm and spends 1.5 years rehabbing from TJ surgery on the first pitch he throws next time he’s at Wrigley. Just a shame it didn’t happen in the 9th inning before his big pay day.

Since he’s talking about what the fans should do, maybe we ought to remind him that “we” also have a ring…

Knicks and the Brewers in the same calendar year. Yeah, it's been a very annoying year for sports.

I know I might be in the minority, I would not be upset if the potential lockout goes well into next season.

You could just, like, not follow baseball if you hate it that much…

Now if we clip the histories since 2014 their run trumps ours. Did anyone else feel like that was a seriously subdued initial celebration?

The numbers that pen put up are jaw-dropping - 1.38 ERA and a .173 in the playoffs across 65 IP.

He's my number 1 pick to implode for the Brewers next season.

Yes. It was mild compared to others. Back here is Wisconsin though you could almost feel the entire state erupt. It was definitely a major party at American Family Field.

It strikes me that Megill is the most "Cub" reliever they have. He's nowhere near as effective as a guy like Ashby. His numbers are really good though. It just feels like he's teetering on the edge.

But for now, he's on top of the world. The saddest thing for me today isn't that the Brewers won the World Series. It's that they have the secret sauce in place, we don't, and we don't have the leadership team to catch up. Even if we did, it would take years for that to filter through our system and into the majors. Nobody else in the division has it either, but it sucks that the Brewers figured this out, and it's not a one-off,

Milwaukee is the smallest market, dependent on the government just to exist ($1.1 billion and counting), and they've been winners for years in the current system.

I'm still for a common financial framework among teams. But the argument that a salary cap is needed because small market teams "can't compete" is in the dumpster at this point.

Meh. Thats pretty tame. He’s telling fans to do what fans are going to do, which is trash talk fans of a rival fan base.

Moments after winning it all he’s thinking about the Cubs. Weird.

He did get released by the Cubs so it's probably a little more personal for him.

Even more annoying is that the Brewers is going to be better than us again next year and beyond, while we’ve been on a 10 years World Series hangover. Since 2016, this club has won only one (real) division title in 2017. It’s gross.

You can hate on the Brewers as much as you want but they are simply better at everything than the Cubs are.

they traded horsefeathers b/c they knew they needed Contreras and he was seriously undervalued. They let CC go and replaced him with a better version of himself.

they know how to identify, develop, and reshape talent in a way most teams cannot.

Im in awe, actually.
