Here is how many chances the Cubs had to make the playoffs coming into Tuesday (potential Cubs wins and potential Diamondbacks losses), and how many they have left after today:

Bregman’s replacement has gone 1-9 with 10 runners LOB and a misplayed infield ground ball that would’ve eventually been the third out of the 6th inning.

You can’t make this horsefeathers up.

Can’t believe the winning run was scored on an overturned out at 2B that looked extremely close

A force out that probably wouldn’t have been necessary if Pedro didn’t misplay a ground ball, and ot not leaving 10 runners on base while going 1-9 over the last 2 games. Par for the course that Bregmans absence has literally been the difference between 2 wins.

There is a real possibility the Cubs may not win another game this year.

Both SD and ATL are warm this time of year. The bats will wake up.

More and more likely they don’t win another regular season game. I’ll forgive the Rockies for 2018 if they upset Arizona today.

The Bregman injury is like a lightning bolt out of the sky.  God saying “not so fast, little ones.”

It'd be really great if the Cubs could win 1 motherfucking game and not back into the playoffs.  I want that one game to be to against these fucks this afternoon.
