Cabrera sighting today...

The Cubs are activating Edward Cabrera and adding him to their bullpen ahead of today’s game against the Pirates at Wrigley Field. In the corresponding roster move, Trent Thornton was placed on the injured list with left ankle soreness.

Must be because of the Wrigley mound, just like Miz complained.😁

Seriously, I'm not expecting Cabrera starts pitching very well, all of a sudden, but I'm hoping he'll pitch better.

What the plan for Cubs catchers next season?

Pick up Kelly 7.5 mil option,  trade Amaya, and have Ayers be with team from day one learning from Kelly?

It's a mutual option, and Kelly won't accept it.  If the Cubs want to keep him, they'd need to give him a new contract.  I don't think they will do that, but who knows?
