Cairos noodle leg is a concern. He doesn’t have the leg for touchbacks and teams start with great field field position way too often. This defense already has a thin margin for error.

His only saving grace is he knows how to kick in Soldier Field most especially in the winter.  I think it's why he was retained.  Remains a source of frustration for me, other teams find kickers with big legs, literally off the street.  Doesn't appear all that difficult, which leads me back to he's retained because of his ability in Soldier Field.

He’s accurate for sure. But the opponents starting field position remains a problem behind a defense a defense that gives up a ton of yards.

It would taken what, 4 or 5 games for Eberflus/Fields lead Bears to score 50+ points?  Not to dump on Justin.  I believe many of us really wanted him to succeed.  Awesome to be past all of that poor coaching and play.

We’ve suffered through so much. We definitely more than deserve to see a Legit Dude there at QB. I think we can say definitively, Caleb is that dude. And Ben Johnson knows offense, if nothing else.

The Bears 6 rushing TDs was tied for an opening day NFL record with 3 other teams: the 1920 Detroit Heralds, 1920 Rock Island Independents and the 1922 Canton Bulldogs.

The Bears had 2 receiving TD's...one by Kmet, and one by Walker.  The Walker one was 1 yard.  No TD's for Loveland, Odunze, Burden, or Raymond.  TE's only had 2 catches, both by Kmet. 

 

And the Bears scored 59 points.

That was very noticeable watching live.  I was glad to see Walker rewarded for playing his ass off both blocking and on ST.

Wouldn't you say when the receivers buy in and take pride the running game becomes very hard to contain?

Shout out to Colston Loveland, who played almost every snap, got 2 targets and 0 catches, but was blocking on every play.

I remember Rodgers and Favre killing us on slants to Greg Jennings and driver, yacing their way for another 10 yards over and over and it drove me nuts. They used that same strange technique too known as receiver blocking.

guessing it's either phil jackson or coach q as the best hire in chicago sports history? would phil count since he was "promoted" instead of hired?

Trying to take away some positives on defense the Bears did generate some pressure on Young.  Young' quite a bit more allusive than Wentz.  Bears may be able to get to Wentz.

I wanted them to get to 60. Going for 2 on the last score would have been a horsefeathers move. Now if it was Lefleur and the Packers I could see been doing it.

Going into week 1 Caleb was about 10th to win MVP at around 25-1. This morning he is tied for second at 7-1.

No doubt.  There were at least two blocks from WRs on that Monangai TD run and lots of others.
