You have to question why, even despite his struggles, Dubois isn't the PH here.

 

You also have to wodner if the extra pitcher is worth not having Grieve on the bench.

why doesn't Baker ever get pissed off at Neifi? He can't lay down a bunt last night and then tonight in a big situation, he's first pitch swinging and flies out to LF. It really looks like that the Cubs took their All-Star break last weekend and their still on it.

Macias usually strikes out, too. The difference is that with Dubois, you have a chance for a GS, or the remote chance of a walk. Macias is a poor, poor hitter. That was terrible managing.

yes i have seen Dubois bat and anyone on this team is a better option then Macias. I don't care that he's batting over .250, i'd PH Prior/Wood/Zambrano in front of the guy.
