White Sox can continue to take consolation that 5 games over .500 in the AL is good enough for the 2 seed bye and then a series against the winner of a .500 team and a 2 games below .500 team.

Cubs are on pace for 95 wins, White Sox are on pace for 84 wins. One gets a bye into the LDS, the other has to win a 3 game series against most likely the Phillies. Wild
