Peterson fixed?

I'm not sure.  He could be one of those guys who pitches better with Amaya.  His ERA with Kelly is 6.75, and with Miggy, more like 1.80, just like Shota and Boyd.

Peterson has been decent. He's thrown a lot of strikes (64%) which is unlike him. Got some babip luck maybe, not a ton of whiffs, but has gotten 5 ground balls. Yeoman's work, but it's useful.

Yeah, I keep record of our SPs and who's catching.  There must be something.  Shota, Boyd and Peterson (so far) pitch better with Miggy.  OTOH, Assad is way better with Kelly.  It's pretty interesting to me.

horsefeathers.  A bad pitching change.  Hollowell has been good lately, but not tonight.

Once again 5 runs may not be enough.

That was chebear's magic number, though.😁

Seriously, I hear you.  That was a bad inning and bad pitching change.

Cardinals bullpen is also very bad. Worse K and BB rates, basically just benefitting from Busch being a super pitchers park this year. Maybe the Cardinals can deal with what we dealt with last night, using their top arms to chase a victory and put them in a tough spot the rest of the series.

Be cool if they can work with Hollowell over off season and see if they can increase his velocity some, get him in upper 90s consistently

Yep, if they can score 5 or more,  or hold to 5 or less they have a chance to win usually

Lol

Shota calls his own pitches, though

No, he doesn't all the time.  Probably, about 10% of the time, as far as I can tell.
