Episode 16 Surprise GIF by The Simpsons

I mean, to me the only real annoyance about this trade is if it somehow sets the market on  pitchers, because the White Sox got fleeced.

Hoffman and Gausman getting linked to the Cubs a lot ,  Mad Max or Rogers being part of a deal wouldn't shock me either.

I want Skubal to be a Cub. If he doesn't (which we won't trade for him), then I'll like to see him in St. Pete, and pitch for the Rays.

But, I'm curious to see if Dodgers trade for him, does the Cubs and Brewers add significantly more? I don't think Milwaukee gave up much for Heuer/Naylor from Cleveland. I don't know if teams are willing to add much depending on what happens with Skubal, and would be willing to stand pat, and keep their prospects heading into the offseason with the CBA expiring.

The main issue is going to be the Ohtani rule. The Dodgers could very well have a 6 man rotation throughout the rest of the season, and Ohtani doesn't count as a pitcher, while he is going to pitch again at some point.

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I'm not expecting much activity, because I don't think buyers are willing to give up a lot of prospects because we all kind of know who is going to represent the NL in the World Series.

I think one of the Angels guys + one of Gausman / Holmes / Peralta will be difficult to pull off. I be shocked if they can do that .

I could maybe see Gausman / Holmes and one of Hoffman / Weaver

Let the fun begin. Dodgers get Skubal. Yawn. Anything can happen in a 7 game series. Go get us some pitching now Jed

#25, #68 overall and Dodger’s 17th ranked prospect (Pipeline).

The Angels broadcast is slamming the rest of the MLB, claiming that other organizations could've got him, but just let the Dodgers get him.

For the 1st time I am getting worried that no baseball will be played in 2027.

Should've been worried the start of last season.
