The biggest difference is in Soroka to Guasman. Gasuman is just a much higher floor so even if it is an off-season trade for the controller arm, the rest of the way is stronger if they end up with Holmes as the second SP.

I  typed out a response to this and deleted it because I saw Soriano got traded to the Blue Jays and said wtf is going on. 😂

Weird deadline for the Blue Jays.  Are they buying or selling lol

They dumped their 35 year old on us to make room for a 27 year old

Looks like they're selling older guys with expiring contract, and buying controllable younger guy.  + Jamo to fill in, just in case.😅

Got a feeling that Soriano will be great for them.  High risk high reward move

Twitter saying Adley Rutschman to Yankees? I don't Twitter, so I don't know which accounts to trust

Jomboy guys were alluding to it last night. No one else has suggested it. I think they're out of the loop here or running with information thats *very* early on.

That's a great move, even though they desperately need right handed hitting.  Arraez is a beast

I'm anxious to see how they play the field. Benching Stott or can he play 3b for Bohm? Arraez already stated he isn't moving off of 2b if traded, so moving him to 1b and Harper to the OF doesn't seem likely.

What would be a Cubs equivalent?

Rojas is the easy equivalent to Nimmala, the other two don't even show up on the FG board (24 YO OF in AA with slightly above average numbers, 19 YO complex league pitcher) so pick your random names from the 25-40 part of the Cubs list.

Potential 1st round opponent is getting active today. We'll see if they are able to land the RH bat they need.

Don’t like where this is heading 😩

Besides what Jason is saying about Detmers this is already a better deadline than last year. They got a guy who will start a playoff game. At the very least they will add a few pen arms. Similar to Kittredge last year. I do believe Jason with his Detmers update, but even if that doesn’t happen the deadline won’t be a total bust.

Yeah I think other pubs have a bit more daylight between the two but even so this is not an especially scary price.  Presumably Detmers costs similar.

Nothing super new, but based on everything we have seen from Sharma/Mooney and the small stuff I have heard on some of the places I have access to, I fully believe Detmers is on the table and that the Cubs will continue to work that, and Seattle.

Most of the smoke out there is that the Cubs are invested in a controlled SP.

This is just my opinion as well, I think the FO knows what the perception of last year's deadline was outside and inside the clubhouse and will try to remedy that.
