To be fair,  Mo has been hitting the hell out of the ball.

Has he? His slash line over the last 30 games is straight ass

Mo is hitting hard, but they're basically all ground balls.  He needs to lift.

3.9 now.

Thank you. Everything hes hitting lately has been right on the screws. Im really starting to believe hes gonna post 10.

And the overrated chatter in comments sections just kills me. Like since the LA series hes gone completely scorched-earth on the league.

Only Witt Jr (4.0) is better than Pete at the moment.  Is Bobby Witt overrated, too?😁

Agreed but now it will be interesting to find out if PCA is yet another in a long line of extremely streaky Cubs hitters or if he has made another round of adjustments and locked in his early 2025 form again.

It seems like his plate discipline has turned the corner,  which is the #1 sign of leveling up,  I think.

He also seems to be hitting lefties a lot better this year.  IIRC, Rizzo was awful against LHP his first 2 years with the Cubs, then suddenly turned it around and hit them roughly as well as he did RHP and he jumped from a .750-.800ish OPS hitter to a .900 OPS guy.

PCA's OPS vs. RHP/LHP:

2024: .693/.597

2025: .838/.594

2026: .815/.786

they've talked about him recently moving on top of the plate like Rizzo did and it seems to have helped so far

Busch too.

2024: 788/712

2025: 910/642

2026: 805/752

I wish both could combine their right handed splits from a year ago.

Pedro is so much better than Dansby.

Man, I really feel for Dansby - I do.  It's brutal to watch his at bats.  Everyone can see he's pulling off everything but he seems incapable of making adjustments and when he does try to go oppo on the rare occasion he pops it up.

But you are starting to see the handwriting on the wall.  It's the second time in recent times he was pinch hit for late in a game, may have been other times I've missed.  There comes a point where you can't worry about feelings anymore cause it's costing you games.  Hell, if Nico wasn't slumping so bad right now too - moving him to short and giving Pedro a run at second might not be a bad idea.    But Nico has been scuffling just as badly as Dansby the last month or so.
