Alright, now it's the Rockies again. But if the Cubs can't beat the Rockies AND one of the worst starting pitchers in baseball this season...

Lorenzen was good against the Cubs last time.  I think they had only a few hits.  He was definitely not one of the worst last time.😁

Pomeranz DFAd by Anaheim.  Recently returned from elbow inflammation.  Not necessarily advocating for it, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Justin Steele is joining the team for 3'ish weeks and will start a throwing program next Mon, per Craig.

Just hope theyre not rushing him back to try and save this season

Maybe, the Cubs should get him.  I checked his game log.  He was bad in March and April, but in May and June, he pitched 11.2 innings, and allowed only one ER.

At this point, I'd like to have him back to at least be a multi-inning weapon out of the pen.

Right...

I wouldn't mind if he just pitched a minimul amount of innings in August and at some point in September they just completely shut him down for the year.

Let him go through a normal offseason and be ready for whenever ST starts up

Amazing how hot and cold this dude can be

Yes - this option is much more preferable 😂

I was looking at NL WAR from Apr 28th on and while I wasn't surprised to see Pete at #1, I was pretty shocked that Busch was #3, with only James Wood between them.
