They really lucked out playing the Mets and Phillies when they did with 3 combined wins over them the last 14 days with bullpen injuries. Is that 27 runs allowed since Saturday now?

Why is Michael Busch still hitting second?

This is an excellent question. I like Busch and believe he will hit. But he isn’t right now. So why not flip him and Mo in the line up? At least for now, that makes a lot of sense.

I'll consider it an OK outcome if we can just manage to scratch out 1 win in this series.  These are great teams (LA & SD), playing at home, and playing at their best.  It's always tough to go out there and win.  2-4 is no fun but just don't get swept please.

Yeah having 7 home games in a row without a day off and then having us fly to the west coast for 6 games with two elite teams is about as tough as it's going to get. Arizona and Cincinnati back at home after a day off is a good chance to pick up some wins, the rest of May is about average, and then there's a three week stretch to start June where we go home against Athletics, home against Giants, at Colorado, at Giants, home against Colorado. Stay 5-8 games over .500 for the next few weeks as we get healthy and then we can start adding back on.

Scoring off Mason Miller is an objectively good thing and yet when something like that happens in a game we lose anyway I always get annoyed by it.

They are still listed as options but haven't worked in our games all year. Every time I try to pick the Score broadcast overlay it gives me the Spanish broadcast and kicks the video backwards 5 minutes

OTOH I have put Len on White Sox games successfully, so I don't know.

I didn't jump on here last night to update this, but the Pat/Ron overlay option did work last night when I tried it on my Fire TV app. I missed all the good Sutcliffe conversations.

I thought the same thing, he got a couple hits batting lower and boom Counsell thinks he's back..lol

The Roku interface is usually a little wonky for the first week or two and then they get the bugs worked out but I still can't click on the game on the main screen and get to it live.  It always sends me to the beginning of the pregame show and there's no option to fast forward.  I have to go the the "Games" screen and get to it from there.  Only mildly annoying but not sure why the functionality is so bad this year *cough ESPN cough*.

Honestly maybe some of these LOB issues could be improved with some batting order tweaks.

You can't really believe that

Why not try it?  The risk is zero.

The risk is doing dumb things that result in worse hitters getting more at bats than better hitters. Also, how are the good hitters supposed to simultaneously be on base and also get the hits when there are guys on base.

It's late April. Counsell isn't going to chase wins by pulling his all star starter overly soon to further exhaust a beat up bullpen in the first game of the series. He's not going to drop the guy who had a 140 wRC last year (and 128 since the beginning of last year). And he's not going to try and play lineup roulette to become the first manager ever to solve the 'problem' of clutch hitting.

I get that we've only won 10 of our last 13 games, but we don't really need to tinker for the sake of tinkering here.
