A little surprised Cignetti didn't throw for it on 3rd down there knowing a 1st down ends the game. He was aggressive on the earlier drive on 4th down but went conservative here.

Thought the refs were in the bag for Miami there for a minute. Ticky-tack false start, then a roughing the passer against IU after non-calls against Miami all night

But Carson Beck made a terrible throw

Beck needed to make the throw Tua did against Georgia in the title game. A little bit higher and that might have been a TD.

but he just doesn't have the arm

This was great because it proves that yes, you can take a program from nowhere to the top.

no 5 stars.  Heisman QB was declined as a walk on by Miami.

wow.

The call to send Mendoza on the draw on 4th and 5 is one of the greatest I've ever seen. Props to Cignetti and IU.

Miami put up a hell of a fight.

Indianas story is co.pletely unprecedented, at least in my lifetime. It's like how I played NCAAF on EA. Take doormats to dominance. Just so freaking cool. Unbelievable season.

Wish the Bears would have tried this once on those 3rd and short situations.

I know the Bears won't/can't draft him, but man, I really want Black playing HB

I'd pass based on him trying to punch an opponent after the game.

First Big Ten threepeat since the 40's

The SEC dominance is OVAH.  The silence coming from that part of the country is deafening.  Suck it losers!

When everyone can pay the players, the field gets level. No more used car dealership owners handing out wads of cash.

That was the Miami RB who threw a punch (Fletcher).  He was referencing one of the Indiana RB's (Black)

I'm glad that this will remain at 12 teams for next season.  The 16 team model would have been ok as well.

I wanted no part of the Big 10 24 team model.  Not because of the number of teams, although I think that would have been a problem as well.  I just really disliked the thought of each conference getting so many automatic bids.

The schedule is the bigger issue for me and there were seemingly no discussions about that.  It's ok the way it is, but getting it moved up would definitely be better.

It sounds like the B1G push for 24 teams is now mostly if not entirely based on trying to get FOX playoff games, which is very on brand

I want them to go backwards to 8 teams, but that’s never happening.

6 or 8 teams would have been absolutely perfect. 12 is too much.
