There’s some probably untrue rumors of the Bulls targeting Jon Scheyer this offseason after firing Billy. Why would Scheyer want to come to the Bulls?

I saw those rumors, and after tonight's effort, I don't see Scheyer even seriously consider the Bulls.

He's from Chicago and wants to be the hometown hero?

Doesn't sound like the Bulls are getting good offers for Coby.  I thought for sure one the teams out west that has lots of picks and needs a guard (San Antonio, Houston, Minny) would make a deal for him.

Hopefully something shakes lose this week.

After seeing past Bulls trades why would anyone offer up a strong offer to AK.  Only chance is it devolves into a legit bidding war late.

whats going on here

I don't know, but I like the wording on that bet. Hypothetically if a guy gets trade before the deadline and then plays a game before the deadline and blows out his knee and doesn't play again this season does the bet hit or not?

I think this is just a buy low opportunity on Ivey, so I like it.  Huerter is a FA and neither he nor Saric figured to be a part of anything moving forward for the Bulls.

Conley probably just a throw in to make the money work.  Don't stop now AKME!

The Ivey trade makes sense as a guy who you can build up his value.  But it could be another long restricted free agency situation like the Giddey one was this summer.

I'm not quite sure as a general NBA fan what the Vuc trade is about.  Earlier in the day I would have said maybe they want a look at Simons and to consider keeping him...but they just got Ivey?  Or they are taking on the extra salary and doing the Celtics a massive favor in luxury tax bills for draft capital, but each side is sending out a second rounder?  I assume the Bulls one is better, but that can't be the main motive?

Which makes me wonder if they are just taking Vuc off the team to try to secretly tank and don't care that they didn't get anything.

What does an acquiring Ivey have to do with trading Vooch? Ivey is a guard, no?

Guessing he was referring to Anfernee Simons coming back from Boston but forgot to mention him...

Oh look another tear down without getting any first round draft picks so we can again rebuild into barely passable, it's such a fun cycle.

Supposedly teams weren't willing to part with a first round pick for Coby, but maybe Coby plus one of the Bulls newly acquired early second rounders can get someone to move a mid to late 1st round pick now?
