I can feel the excitement around here for Bulls season so let’s get this thread started.

I don’t check the news for 3-4 hours only to find that the Bulls signed, and cut, Mac McClung. I’ll always look back fondly on the McClung era. All 3 hours of it.

Good: Bulls had a 16 point lead after the first quarter, a larger lead than they had after any first quarter last year.

Bad: Bulls blew a 22 point 3rd quarter lead (and a 15 point lead going into the 4th) with a minute to play.

Meh: Bulls closed out a close victory against a middling team, looking to place themselves 9th in conference again.

At least Matas looked good.

Bulls were without Coby, but Detroit was without Ivey.

With that said, the starting line up was a bit surprising. Buzelis, Giddey, Vuc, Tre Jones and Isaac Okoro. Glad to see LaVine gone. Surprised to see Ayo and Patrick Williams coming off the bench.

Buzelis is a star

He's beefed up a lot since last season.  Good to see he's putting in the work off the court too.

He's terrible and that's where he belongs along with the other wasted draft pick in Dalen Terry. Also, I'm not real thrilled to see Noa get a DNP on a coach's decision and that Donovan has basically already said, he wont get many minutes this year.

Oh I realize he's pretty much trash. Just surprised is all.

Isaac Okoro has now played 45 minutes between 2 games and has still not scored a point. I'm not sure how that's even possible.

He has only attempted 8 shots, 6 of them in one game

Unless he's the greatest defensive player in the history of man it doesn't matter.

they're kind of deep, I could see them winning like 45-48 games

Depth they do have. 2 Stars who take over a game on a nightly basis, they do not.

However, their next 10 games are rough, with 7 road games and home games against the Knicks, 76ers and Spurs. If they're still above .500 after that stretch, maybe they can climb out of the play-in hellscape they created for themselves.
