How is that a hit by pitch?  First of all, it hit the bat.  But even if it didn't, how is it allowed to stick your finger in front of the bat and let the ball hit it?

That ball would only hit his hand because he didn't bunt it properly, not any fault of the pitcher.

I think flaherty is generally a good dude but between my memories of him as a cardinal and him giving off strong Bryson slash every villain in Disney channel movies ever, I’m fine with it ending here.
