I saw on BN that Nate Pearson's confirmed to have been sent down over the off day.  Hodge has strung together a few quality outings at Iowa.  Paired with the bullpen reinforcements making it easier to use him in low leverage for a bit, and I'd assume that's the swap.

It's possible that Assad is coming up, though I assume he's getting one more start at Iowa and then coming up next Monday for the doubleheader.

And then based on what Counsell said over the weekend Amaya is also supposedly back today, curious if the casualty is McGuire or Berti.

In all honesty, love my students. I get middle schoolers. We're super cool with each other. I could not listen to them butcher songs all day.

He’s been an objectively better player than Berti, but I’m having a hard time seeing how they’re going to get him any playing time.

Yeah, he's a keep him on the MLB roster or lose him guy.

I think you'll maybe see some additional days off for Tucker, Happ and PCA with Castro on the roster and Amaya/Kelly available to DH now.

It's a weird spot for both of them. McGuire isn't gonna play but Berti also never plays. I guess they value McGuire's bat to pinch hit vs. Berti's pinch running? 

I really could see them just dumping McGuire soon and calling up one of the Iowa kids.
